Thank you... :)

I imagine part of the venue damage problem is carts that are piled high and heavy with boxes, long poles, really bulky items that could knock people off the escalator, crates, anything that could potentially damage the carpet, doors, walls, or poke someone's eye out.

You are correct... Hand carry items should be allowed in through the lobby. The primary concern is damage caused by cart wheels.

Looks like we have some good weather for your trip, unless you were hoping for snow :)

Who would want snow after that disaster last year? First our school tried to make us come home from the regional at 10:45 am, then our bus almost didn't make it back to our school alive Friday night. Although, we got to stay and we did get home safely, so I guess it all worked out in the end. All's well that ends well.

No snow for the Connecticut Regional?? :ahh:

I'll believe it when I see it.

Well, a lil' snow wouldn't hurt... ;)

Temperatures up there at this time of year aren't very different from what we get down here in the winter, so the snow would be a plus.

If you people from Connecticut can't get us snow, maybe the fine people of Central Valley, NY can spare some on the first day of our trip! :D

Sorry, but I'd like to leave all the snow in Syracuse while I'm on spring break. I can't wait for Thursday.

Snow *showers* predicted for Wednesday so our Brazilian friends can see some flakes while they are here. But WARMING UP for the weekend! Yeah!

I think FIRST competitions have seen enough snow delays in the last three weeks!

Me Too :)

There should still be snow in the mountains in Vermont.

Greater Hartford’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 11am on Saturday, March 15, at Capitol Avenue near the State Capitol Building, takes a left onto Main Street, a left onto Asylum Street, a left onto Ford Street, and ends by the Memorial Arch. The parade will be held rain or shine. Parade watchers may be using the venue's parking garage and streets may be closed so plan accordingly.

I could live without the snow AND the FIRST flu from last year. My daughter was so sick she actually laid her head down and SLEPT for 3 hours in the middle of Friday's competition. And she missed Saturday altogether (although she did call me a million times to see how we were doing).

Half our team woke up sick Saturday morning - someone must have tried to poison our awesome alliance if your team was sick too. Our only driver 1 was vomiting Friday night/Saturday morning - we almost had to get another team to drive our robot for us.
