20 & 67's match determined Number one seed for Friday.
Hot put up 118, 20 was incapacitated for 30 secs, and flipped (got back up after a while).
Good regional so far, can wait until the seedings.
(If they dont get snowed out )
Go High Five!

interesting matches today. There arn't many teams that really stand out amung the rest, but there are many good teams.

I predict elimins to be a long and competitive.

Apparently the special guest we were supposed to have was actually Dean Kamen!!!!
He couldn't attend due to the bad weather we had at the end of the day, unbelievable! :(

67 had a great day today; not only are they ranked 2nd but they won the Driving Tomorrow's Technology award.

I remember seeing Dean when he was here in 05 for the first year of FLR.

Thanks for posting this link to the standings!

I had looked at the standings before I left tonight, but had only focused on our own standing (which really kind of surprises me, to be honest). But checking this out again, I see that the team that helped us get started is #1! Wow! - and to think I saw them ingloriously lying on their side earlier today! No wonder everybody on this thread seems so quiet (dazed and confused?). Who would have thought the two Niagara County, NY teams would occupy half of the top four seeds, at this point?

I think back on the last month or so, practicing with #378 in an old fire house, on a floor that was barely to size of a field (if that), and not even close to level. Having various problems (that at least we never really solved). Congrats, Circuit Stompers! And Good Luck!

Oh, and as far as standouts goes, c'mon - #0020 was #1 practically all day, and was a member of more 80+ point alliances (of which there have been 13) than anybody (4 of them, two of which scored in the 90s).

Four teams had three 80+ alliances: #0067, #0191, #0378, #1126. Hey - there's #0378 again! ;) They may hurdle backwards, but it looks like they're for-real, guys! I don't know how they're doing it, but my best guess for our own team is that our drivers are excellent, and work well with other alliance members. (We were only in two.)

We have been doing good most of today. At one point we had some power issues, but they were quickly fixed. I hope the snow doesn't throw too much off tomorrow. So, does anyone want to go outside and make Snow Robo Coaches? :p

Just wanted to ask that everyone PLEASE drive carefully tomorrow. The 30 min you might be late is totally worth not ending up in a ditch or something. I look forward to seeing everyone in the AM and hope everyone has good luck and great elimination matches!

I agree... 20 was the top team at FLR on Friday, and will continue on Saturday. Their pneumatic arm is really smooth and their drivers have been incredibly intune with each other.

We have worked all day to try an be that smooth.

I wanted to send good luck from Florida to MAK Team 211. As my brother, one of their mentors, told me last night "If it weren't for bad luck, we'd have no luck at all." Watch out for penalties, ignore your rank/standings and continue to rack up points hurdling! Even though you only have one scheduled match left today, I hope it's a blast.

I really wish FLR was webcast! Good luck to all teams & hope the weather doesn't cause too much of a problem (of course, as I told my brother...if you attend our "FLR" : the FL Regional, snow & ice are never an issue ;) ).

Typical Rochester weather.
It looks like it's starting to snow again.
Probably from the lake.
