It was an huge shock when he hit my shoulder (I thought he was messing around) and then I realized something happened when he kept going to the floor. Thank you for asking. I would like to thank the mentor from Sparx who was there trying to help our mentors with him.

What I find a little strange is that a mentor was telling a couple of us not to fool around cause they didn't want to take any of us to the hospital. So that was a huge, wow for me.

Thank you everyone.

And that's why we mentors keep telling you kids to eat your breakfast.
A regional is a big physical and mental drain for alot of hours. You kids need your energy (and not from a can).
I'm glad he's ok.

I would like to say thanks to all that took part in FLR. That was a great event. Nice, clean, fun venue. Great teams. Great matches. Great old friends. Great new friends.

Then there was the snow. You guys even throw a great snow storm!!

The team drove thru the night and arrived home about 5:30 this morning. Some of the mentors (that didn't get to sleep all day like the bus driver) spent the night in Rochester and drove home today. But it was well worth all the trouble. Team 67 had a blast. This was a very competitive regional for being so early in the season.

Congratulations to the winning alliance and all the other seven that put up a good fight. Thanks to our partners, Team 272, and Team 424. We had a great alliance.

Congratulations to our old friends on Team 340 with the RCA and Team 1511 with their EI win. Good luck to both of you in Atlanta.

And to Team 2340. What a start in your rookie year. Keep up the good work.

Thanks also to Team 365 and Team 191, fellow Hall Of Famers, for being so friendly. Did you notice that all the HOF teams were in the Quarter Finals? Great job.

Thanks, again, FLR for a great time.

and semis. It was amazing.
I truly hope the Michigan GM teams (and perhaps many more) will come up to play some more. It really was an amazing event. The semis and the finals were really intense. And it's great just having so many legendary teams around to show Rochester what a high standard FIRST adheres to year in and year out.
See you in Atlanta guys!

I am glad to hear that everyone made it back ok through the Rochester Winter Wonderland. It was great that your team and Team 365 decided to come out this way and bring out the highest level of play that FLR has seen to date.

As always all teams are very competitive on the field but the comraderie in the pits were phenomenal. We hope to see you back next year and hopefully the weather will cooperate.

I agree - what an event!!!

Just out of curiosity - how did everyone feel about the bleachers? It did keep everyone a little bit further away from the field, but I thought the trade off of easier, more seating, more professional looking, and safer was well worth it.

Bleachers were fine. I like the idea of having more seating. Folding chair bleachers are much better for FIRST events. Like it or not, much of the team is sitting for 2-3 days. The more comfortable, the better.

Thanks for a great event!

Of course I liked having the stands out. More seating for teams and guest. I know spirit was down a bit but I think that was because the game doesn't generate as much excitement in the qualification rounds like it does in the eliminations.

Thanks for the kind words. Your bot (Team 20) and many others (67, 1126, 191, 272, 1503 - I'm sure I am forgetting many) were also impressive. We knew that it would be a fight against your alliance in the semis and it was.

Congratulations on your victory and strategery (it is a word now, isn't it? ;) ).

It was great being out there on the field with and against you guys.

Rocketeers ROCK!

What can I say. Despite the weather FLR rocked again this year. It was great to see some old friends again. On behalf of 340 I would like to thank 1503 & 316 for selecting us. I would also like to thank 67 & 272 for selecting 424, also us.

Congrats to 1511 for the EI. I know our team has the utmost respect for your group. To 1126, 378, & 1551 you guys rocked. To 191, 1507, 20, & 2053 you made a great winning alliance. It is a great story to have 2 original teams work together.

MOE, you are an inspiration. A true example of what FIRST is all about. It was nice to share a pit with you. My kids couldn't stop talking about it. Thanks to Ricky for all of your help. We can't wait to see you guys again in Atlanta. I'm glad to hear you made it home. That goes for all teams.

Thanks to all of the volunteers for making the event as well run of an event that I have ever been to. You truly make the FLR a home regional.

Finally I want to thank my team. You guys make me proud. Kate, congrats on the WFA. To all of my mentors & Justin I couldn't pull this off without you.

It was great to spend a few days with some old friends & make some new ones.

I would like to say thanks to both 191 and 2053 who when we (team 20) were in desperate need of a new robot controller, which had been ripped apart during our last qualification match, went above and beyond and shared with us there robot controllers. It was an even extra special moment to have shared a regional championship with those two great teams that helped us out in such a big way. Even cooler was to get to team up with another founding team. Also a special thanks to 174 who came up big when they were called in to action in the final matches. Without you three teams none of this would have been possible so THANK YOU! :)

Thank you to all of the teams and volunteers team 20 had a great time at our first FLR and look forward to coming back and joining you all again next year.

FLR this year was simply amazing. First off, I would like to say to both of my teams 340 & 424, that I am extremely proud of all of you. You guys faced some tough obstacles and handled them extremely well. Also, all of our mentors and our amazingly dedicated team leader Jason Rees for their work all season so far and we are all so grateful.

MOE, you guys are exactly what a national CA team should be. You guys would jump at the chance to help anyone with anything and I was so honored to see your team in action next to us in the pits. I cannot tell you how much we appreciated having your endorsement for Chairman's, it's very humbling. You guys also brought a great robot again and I'm sure all teams that attend FLR want to have you guys back every year.

65,67,68, thanks for trekking all the way to Rochester. We loved having you guys there and it really gave FLR almost a championship feel. Having you guys there brought another National Chairman's award team as well as two national Woodie Flowers award winners. I hope you guys had a good enough time to consider coming back next year.

1126, You guys know we love you and we were really pulling for you in the finals. I hope we can get together with you guys soon and go bowling or something.

Thank you to 1503 and 316 for being awesome alliance partners.

Congrats to 1511 for your deserving EI award. 2 EI's and a CA award in three years is amazing.

Congrats to 20,191,2053 and 145. You guys were an amazing alliance and I hope you all can make it to championship.

A special congrats to Kate Nordland on her WFA. GRR loves you volunteer goddess!

A big thank you to the entire planning committee for their tireless efforts to ensure that FLR was a great event and it was executed wonderfully.

Last but not least, I'd like to thank all the volunteers for their dedicated and hard work. The judges and the Refs had very difficult jobs and did an amazing job. Everyone was so friendly and helpful it made the whole event awesome.

I can't wait for championship!
