Skipping file. There is no tool to process the file with the given suffix. Halting build on first failure as requested. BUILD FAILED: Sat Oct 06 12:10:26 2007 shows up. i've searched, nothing else provided a solution. anyone have any ideas? |
Re: There is no tool to process the file with the given suffix.
what is the full name (with extension) of the file you are trying to compile?

Re: There is no tool to process the file with the given suffix.
it's all of the files: there stored in Z:\07 code (iffy)\07 code (iffy)\
none of them will compile |
Re: There is no tool to process the file with the given suffix.
Yes, it looks like you have a file as part of the compile that doesn't have an extension, or the extension has a typo. Look at all the files you're expecting to be included in the compile, particularly the file extensions. Also, remove any other dots from the file names, for example "Oct.6.2007.h" will drive the compiler crazy. Fix what's wrong and it'll work.

Btw, the end result was that installation didn't automatically update the toolsuite. for anyone else who has this problem: under project, near the bottom it should say something luike "set language toolsuite" you want C18 compiler.
