Ok, i'll admit that I think Brett Favre is a cool guy, but seriously, whats up with his last name?

And don't be hatin' on Rex. He's got a great arm and he's..... I'm sorry, i cant even make anything up. Even Bears fans hate him:mad: ... *huddles up in fetal position and mutters to self*

This argument may get a bit intense...

Actually, I'm from Wisconsin, and I'll take Cledus the Slackjawed Yockle (Tarvaris Jackson) over Brent Favor anyday.

Skol vikes.

I wander into this thread and what do I see, someone across the border that bleeds purple and gold?

I'm contemplating making the 5-6 hour drive from the Twin Cities after my last class on Friday so I can go see that crazy Winnovation bot in person.

I'd also get to do a little advance scouting on a few of the teams that will be coming to MN tow weeks later.

Am I the only cheesehead who can't believe that tailgating isn't allowed at the WISCONSIN (Land of brats, cheese curds and the frozen tundra of Lambeau) Regional?! I can guarantee you that if Green Bay hosted the event, it would be brats and cheese for EVERYONE!! :)

See you in a couple weeks!

Sean

Believe me, we (the RPC) tried to work something out. But we have little say in the contracts between the venues and FIRST.

Sorry! I love tailgating as much as the other guy, I bled green and gold.

Wow, no tailgating...I was actually looking forward to that this season...Since last year we tailgated at Wisconsin Regional, National Competition, and IRI...It just seems weird that Wisconsin is the only one limiting it (Destroying it). Hopefully Minnesota Regional will allow it... :)

It is only not allowed in the lot owned by the Wisconsin Center District, if you can find another lot to do it in, go for it.

We are in no way destroying tailgating, just enforcing the rules that we have to.

You walk a very fine line my friend, and you do it well!

See you in two weeks!

Not a whole lot of spots around Williams Arena.......the two lots that are around are owned by the University probably won't allow tailgating, but I'm not positive

Yeah, our district (Kenosha Unified) was the only one in the southeast corner of Wisconsin that stayed open that day. Nice job Superintendent! :yikes:

PS: PLEASE bring Macadamia Nut chocolate. PLEEEEEAAASE. I love that stuff. :p

Kind of... Thomas More is the school we began from, and the school that we are officially associated with, however they have let it be a community team, so we have around 7 schools total. I dont go to TM, I go to Oak Creek, as do many of our teammates. We are working to have OC start our own club. We competed in the Milwaukee Vex league. There is not a big teacher support at OC. We have 1 mentor who is working to get it started. Our principal is also very pro-robotics. He has been my principal since 6th grade, so Me and one of my friends have been talking to him about it since then. Outside that, I dont think many teachers know we exist. If they do, they have absolutely no idea what we do. We also dont work in Thomas More. We work at American Acryllics.

Just got home from the St. Louis regionals, what a blast. We did fantastic this year. lost by a close margin in both of the semi final matches to the eventual winners 148, 217, 830 (great teams). What a fantastic regional! a few minor tweaks, and we look forward to seeing all the great teams here at the Wisconsin regional!

Is anyone else staying at the Hyatt across the street from the competition site? Team 1652 is dropping off our higher-ups (and me, for some ODD reason... ) on Wednesday night (the 13th, I believe), the day before the Tech Day. If anyone is staying there, and can afford to bring an Xbox 360... that'd be great, thanks. I'll bring controllers.

Just so you all know, I'm really excited about this year's competition, our robot, and how much my hard work (no, really!) is going to pay off this year. Go Wisconsin!

Just a side note: About Favre's name, it wasn't our fault. He's actually a boy of the south, Mississippi if I remember correctly. You guys have the Internet, go Google it.

Just a little warning from us, the inconsistent showing in chicago will not be repeated, we've already got our list of improvements, watch out lol
