Sam Eisen. Rest in Peace

Yesterday October 8, 2007 Senior Sam Eisen, a member of team 1002, passed away in a fatel car accident. Sam was returning to school after his internship when the accident occured. Sam was a honor student and a national merit student. Sam was known as a kind caring and selfless person throughout Wheeler High school and it showed today when classmates, teachers, faculty, and alumni gathered on the field unannounced to pray and talk to one another.

I can never forget the amount of times he had helped me out when i needed it.
Sam leaves a mother, father, brother, and friends. Please keep all them in your prayers!

And PLEASE drive safe! just becasue you drive safe, does not mean others do!

Miss you bro. Rest in Peace

Many of you may not know who he is. If you were in the pits at either the VCU regional, the Peachtree Regional, and our division in championships in 2007, you may have seen him. Sam was 1002's main scout and talked to every single team at the regionals and every team in our division. He always did all that he could for the team and was a great person.

We will be sure to pass your kind words on to the family.
Thank you all for your condolences.

As a Wheeler robotics parent I feel a great loss with the passing of Sam. I traveled with him and the team to the different competitions over the past 4 years. I also helped sell pizzas with him and his mother at the GA Dome to raise money for the team.

He enjoyed life and enriched his friends around him. He was a huge help to the CircuitRunners and will be greatly missed in the upcoming competitions. He was a senior in an unbelievably great high school Magnet program at Wheeler High. He was a National Merit Commended Student. He was traveling back to school from his computer programming internship in N. Atlanta and had a promising future.

His older brother and parents are also exceptional individuals. My son and other students spent many Friday nights over the past four years at their home when the Eisen's graciously opened their home to a LAN party.

We are all better off with Sam in our life even if it was only for a short time.

Dave
