The ship was a submarine.

To answer boiler's riddle, the word is "unusual"

Friday was his horse/cow or whatever he rode.

That would actually be a pair of shoes--note that it has two feet.

And the answer to your riddle is 6 oranges.

How did the elephant get to the top of the pine tree?

He didn't, elephants don't live in areas near pine trees.

Ok Eric, I've waited what seems like an eternity for the answer to this riddle...:(

How DID the elephant get to the top of the pine tree? The best I can come up with was that he got stuck there after skydiving from an airplane. :D

He sat on a pine cone and waited.

A new riddle:

You are trapped in a room with no windows and only one very heavily barred door. The only other thing in the room is a stick. How do you get out?

Kittybot 24-02-2008 10:30

Re: Riddle Game!

I say you take the stick and glide it along the bars, making a loud noise until it drives whoever is out there mad, so they let you out! :D

MiniNerd24 24-02-2008 12:50

Re: Riddle Game!

That was good!
You break the stick in half put together to make a whole (or hole) and you go through the hole.
I'll someone else make some riddles, I think some haven't even been answered.

Alexander is a great magician, skilled in many things and he weighs exactly 199 lbs. He is about to cross a bridge with a strict weight limit of 200 lbs. The problem is he has to carry three gold pieces across, each gold piece weighs 8 ounces. The gold puts him 8 ounces over the strict weight limit. What did Alexander do to cross the bridge safely with all three pieces of gold?
(There is a real answer, he didn't throw them across nor did he poof them over with magic.)

Somebody has a lot of riddle practice needed. You forgot that she also drowned and hung him before going out to dinner.

And the answer is that she took his picture (shot him), developed the film (drowned him), and hung it on the wall (hung him).

There is a town in Texas where 5% of all the people living there have unlisted phone numbers. If you selected 100 names at random from the town's phone directory, on average, how many of these people would have unlisted phone numbers?

Karibou 31-01-2010 17:42

Re: Riddle Game!

None would be unlisted, because all of the numbers came from the phone book, so they would all be listed.

Parents with two children - a son and a daughter - came to a wide river. There was no bridge there. The only way to get to the other side was to ask a fisherman if he could lend them his boat. However, the boat could carry only one adult or two children. How does the family get to the other side and return the boat to the fisherman?

cooldude8181 06-02-2010 14:41

Re: Riddle Game!

1. two kids across
2. one kid back
3. adult (mom, dad, fisherman) across

A small boy who had been in a terrible accident was pushed into the emergency operating room. Upon looking upon the boy, the doctor said, "I can't operate on him; he's my son." However, the doctor was not the boy's father, biological or otherwise. How is this possible?

EricH 10-02-2010 09:31

Re: Riddle Game!

The doctor was the boy's mother.

You are locked in a room. The windows are barred, made of Lexan, and can not open; the door opens outwards but is locked tightly. All you have in the room is a stick. How do you escape?

Captain banana 10-02-2010 18:03

Re: Riddle Game!

You break the stick in half. You put the two halves together to make a hole. You then jump through the hole.

It can not be seen, can not be found, can not be heard, can not be smelled. It lies in your dreams, and under hills, and empty holes it fills. What is it?
