I can think of two logical possibilities to this, but they are both probably wrong so I won't post another riddle..

A) They were born before the United States was founded, in Massachusetts Colony, therefore not a US citizen?

B) They were born in International waters onboard the U.S.S. Massachusetts?

Yeah... idk. I Just wanted to have sone fun at guessing here. :)

When it's afloat.

A blind man, who's been blind from birth, takes a train to another town to get his sight. The operation is successful and he can see. On the way back, the train enters a tunnel and the man kills himself. Why?

Not sure if this would be right but: the train goes through a tunnel and the man thinks he is blind so he kills himself.

He has married many women but has never been married. Who is he?

George Washington - I believe Mr. Barker played one and Mr. Lincoln wore one.

A wild bear entered a cabin and killed a man. After the kill, the bear headed south.

What was the man's name?

Santa Claus.

Once a man from New York City
Married 10 women, who were pretty
The marriages, all of which were legal
Yet not one died and not one lied
and no divorce or legal battle
or separation nor the sale of cattle
yet this man got off completely free
he married each and every one you see
now how could he not be on the run?
from persecution, law and wife
from being stabbed with a knife
and keeping his conscious clean all the while
he married all 10 with vicious style!

[Cleanup in Aisle 3]

The St. Ives riddle was used in "Die Hard - With a Vengeance" by Jeremy Irons' character.

The man's eyes were bandaged after the operation. He took the bandages off in the tunnel and the first thing he ever truly "saw" in his life was the same darkness that plagued him since birth (kinda sounds the same as being a Red Sox fan all your life, moving to New York, switching to the Yankees, and realizing that oh noes, you're still pretty much rooting for the same dark entity......sorry, couldn't resist......). Having been reassured earlier in the day that the operation was a complete success, he couldn't take this unexpected disappointment and thus ended his life.

A well-known circus performer dies and leaves a fortune to the nearest relative. A grandson was found and went to court to claim his inheritance. At the hearing, someone else proved that the circus performer was not the man's grandfather, but the man got the money anyway. Why?

Re: Riddle Game!

The performer was a woman and therefore his Grandmother.

How can you avoid hitting your fingers when driving in a nail with a hammer?

Annapolis, Maryland

An apple-less merry land (groan)

You've been sentenced to death in an obscure foreign country which has a strange law. Before the sentence is carried out, two papers -- one with "LIFE" written on it and one with "DEATH" written on it -- are folded up and placed in a hat. You are permitted to pick out one of the papers (without looking), and if you choose the one with "LIFE" written on it, you are set free. Otherwise, the death sentence is carried out. On this occasion, a mean-spirited acquaintenance of yours, bent on your demise, has substituted the paper with "LIFE" written on it with another one with "DEATH" written on it. This person gleefully informs you of what he has done and that you are doomed to die. You are not permitted to speak to anyone about this misdeed, nor will you have a chance to switch the papers or the hat yourself in time. How will you avoid certain death?
