OK :)

You want to build a stone wall around your 12'x20' garden.
If the bricks are 6" high & 6" wide and 1' long,.
How many bricks will you need to make a wall 6" wide & 4' tall?

Re: Riddle Game!

No bricks are needed to build a stone wall!

What can go up a chimney down, but cannot go down a chimney up?

An umbrella.

Rudolph the Red and his wife, Olga the Green, were having an argument about the weather. Rudy thought it was raining, Olga thought it was snowing. What did Rudy say to win the argument?

"Here's a diamond necklace. Who's right now, huh? Now hush and bring me my dinner!"?

Dancer and Prancer or maybe Comet and Cupid were into the cherry cobbler!

And continuing the theme...

Why won't Santa eat Twinkies?

Because he prefers Ho Ho (Ho)'s.

Someone else post a new one for me. A real mind bender.

OK

A large truck is crossing a bridge 1 mile long. The bridge can only hold 14000 lbs, which is the exact weight of the truck. The truck makes it half way across the bridge and stops. A bird lands on the truck. Does the bridge collapse?

Taylor 02-12-2007 08:24

Re: Riddle Game!

No, for two reasons:
1) If the truck is exactly halfway across the bridge, it is more than likely centered directly above a pylon - one of the bridge's strongest points. As long as it stays there, no difficulties should arise.

2) Given current technology and fuel efficiency, I would speculate that in a half-mile, a 14,000-pound truck has used at least a bird's weight of fuel, making it below the weight limit.

Who is buried in Grant's tomb? (trickier than one would think)

#2 was the answer.

Grant isn't buried. It's a mausoleum, so his remains are above ground.

Carol is travelling by ship from south of the equator to the north.

She has a nice little second class cabin which has a bathroom, but no window.

Carol has no compass nor other instruments.
Yet, without leaving her room or talking with anyone, Carol knew exactly when the ship crossed the equator.
How did she know?

Re: Riddle Game!

She fills the sink with water than pulls the plug.
If the water swirls counter-clockwise than she is north of the equator if it swirls clockwise than she is south of the equator.

A plane crashed and every single person on board this flight were killed, yet, there were survivors. Explain how?

Plus, some of the people were married.

He was cheating at cards.

Warning: I am running out of "easy" riddles that aren't ancient.

The riddle:
He went to the gym with Harold every day and pumped iron, but he couldn't lift a feather. How is that possible?

SSMike 07-12-2007 17:17

Re: Riddle Game!

Easy one: He is Harold's heart.

The President, The Vice President, The Speaker of the House, The President pro tempore of the Senate, and the Secretary of State are in a room. A murderer comes in and kills 4 out of the 5 people (not including himself) and leaves. Who is left alive and why?
