I got an 84%. I tried to go as fast as I could. The electrics were easy.

This test is pretty cool.

I got an 86% :D

this is like the tootsie pop thing, i don't have the patience to finish it

I got 80%, I wish there was a back button, because I realized a few answers were wrong right after I clicked 'submit'.

I got a 78%

94%

Spoiler for choices:
B: From the suction from the piston moving down, or C: From atmospheric pressure pushing it in. I chose B, because if the piston wasn't moving no air would move, but I bet they wanted to hear C

Don't peek at the spoiler until after you've taken the test.!

You know what? I did the exact same thing.

Anyhow, the test seemed to rely a lot on common sense and (especially in the mechanical portion) stepping back and double-checking your answer. It's a cute little quiz, but not exactly something I'd call the defining measure of how good someone is mechanically.

I got a 78, but I'm an animator so it's ok that I failed.

Sometimes random guessing can work.

I failed.... I made the lowest score yet. 64% with 320 points. I rushed through and misclicked two or three times though. There were a few that I had no idea about either, like some of the engine and shaft questions. Over all I think I did okay. I'll retake later and put some effort into it and see what I get! :D

I think I win with a 52%... I knew there was a reason that I did poorly in physics... :D

Edit: Do I get an extra point for knowing that they used the wrong form of "principle"?

86. Fun test, but a little flawed... (kg isn't a force measurement!)

76. Some questions I hit submit, then realized I had read the question backwards. Others I had no idea how to solve, never learned them in Physics.

Re: How mechanically inclined are you?

88.

Like Beth, I found the misuse of "principal" annoying.

Like Don and Eddie, I answered piston suction instead of atmospheric pressure, although the answers are equivalent: does current flow in a battery circuit because the positive terminal has a higher voltage, or because the negative terminal has a lower voltage?

Like Al, I thought the electrical questions were extremely elementary while the mechanical ones required some physical reasoning. Also like Al, I was trying to go as fast as possible.

WooT! 88%. The funny thing is that I didn't think that PLTW actually taught me anything, but I actually used past knowledge from that class on this.

It would appear that your PLTW teacher succeeded in tricking you into learning something, after all. Teachers are sneaky, that way! ;)

94%. The fact that force is measured in PSI was news to me.
