Nice job on your selection as an InvenTeam. You are embarking on a journey that is like no other. Not only are you going to be teaching students how to do the research, the engineering, the manufacturing, and the marketing, but they have to hone their presentation skills for the presentations in June. (Sounds a lot like FIRST!)

We saw more growth in the students in that one year we built our robot for FIRST and Road Iron for Lemelson/InvenTeam, it was incredible. Worth every sleepless night.

The whole staff at MIT, Merton Flemings, Josh Schuler and the whole staff are top notch.

Congratulations!

I believe the line up is as follows:

Norview High School in Virginia has a FIRST Team.
Hiram High School Team 839.

....and YOU!

There may be one or two others.

I know we had a blast building our wheelchair. You are in for a great experience - let us know if you have questions! Best of luck!

According to their website FRC 8 (Paly Robotics) belongs on this website. They have been developing a laser system to help quadriplegics control electronic systems (like lights and appliances).

They completed their project as part of the 2007 list of InvenTeams. As an excite award teacher, first round of proposal review, I attended the 2007 Odessy in June and witnessed their presentation which included a live demonstration by the client pictured on the page you reference. It was an awe inspriring demonstration!

We (Team 839) Agawam HS was an Inventeam in 2004. The full list of past teams can be found here http://web.mit.edu/inventeams/former...eams.html#2004

The FIRST teams that I know of that are former Inventeams are, besides us, Linn Marr in 2004, I don't remember who was in 2005, Upper Darby and John D O'Bryant in 2006, Merrimack and Palo Alto in 2007.....

Who did I miss?? Or get wrong?
