FIRST Stock Footage?

So I'd like to make a music video that kind of captures the chaos of competition. I've got a great song picked out, ("So Insane" by Smashmouth), but I need some stock footage to edit to go with it.

Soap108 has a great video repository, but most of the match footage is from an aerial, full field perspective. (Perfect for scouting/strategy, music videos not so much.)

Any suggestions for where to look? Thanks!

I would also like to know where to get stock footage, mainly Buckeye Regionals (any year). I know The Blue Alliance has full match footage, but the quality is too low to work with. Some teams record the video straight from the big screen onto a VCR/DVD recorder, so I'm hoping one of them will pop up. Willing to pay S&H for any physical media.

I know you are probably looking for downloadable videos, but FIRST Objective has a lot of videos (mostly linked from YouTube). I don't think YouTube allows downloads, I may be wrong. Nevertheless FIRST Objective is a great place to find cool FIRST videos. Check it out.

YouTube doesn't "allow" downloads, but I won't speak of the "back door" way. Even if I did it that way, it's not video-editing quality. I need something with better quality than your average streaming-off-a-webpage Flash-based video.

I have DVDs recorded from Boilermaker and West Michigan, 3-8 hours per disk. These were recorded at full DVD quality. I will see about sending some of the videos in full size to my server for faster download in the next couple days. All of the videos were pulled from the main screen.

Sure, I'm trying to create a couple of videos, presentation, background for fundraising/events, recruitment, etc. So PM me when you have that setup, and I'll pull them off your server. Thanks a lot!

I've got 20gb of DV footage from the Silicon Valley Regional on my computer that one of our mentors took with a camcorder. It's mostly shaky footage of our team and the matches we were in, though there are some pans over the pits and shots of dancing while stalling for time that could be useful for such a project. If anyone would like some, I could try and clear it with our mentor then find a way to send some of the interesting shots to the interested parties.

By the way, if anyone would like additional footage of any of the matches we were in (see TBA), we might have it. Though i'll have to mute the sound if you were on the opposing alliance ;)

Meh, as long as you can make out people/bots and it doesn't trigger motion sickness, I'll take it. Obviously, there may need to be some face- or sound-masking for legal purposes, so I'm hoping you can clean that up. If not, I can always do that. Let me know what your mentor says, and shoot me a PM if you're ready.

I'll look through our archives to see what we have from Buckeye. I know that Travis Hoffman (Delphi E.L.I.T.E, Team#48) usually records events they attend, and you might also try KokoEd from X-cats (Team #191) He may have some if they ever attended Buckeye.
