Sorry to say this but it sounds like your judgment is clouded by the fact that Boston won the world series.

Get serious. Colts don't stand a chance and you know it. And there is no payroll issue involved here.

No, just rolls.....of videotape.....oops.

I know no such thing, sir. Are all Boston fans as incredulous when non-believers actually dare to question the superiority of their teams?

Do I believe the Patriots are a better team than the Colts? Yes, but not nearly as much as the "don't stand a chance" crowd (and ESPN) would have me believe. Sorry.

Given that I think it's close, and the Colts are playing at home, I'll throw my support to the Colts just because, well, you know, I CAN! If I lose, well heck gee golly gosh, I think I'll live. MIDWEST REPRESENT.

If you were truly confident in your team's abilities, why would you even give the Browns the argumentative light of day above? Perhaps you are afraidddddddddd? :D

I just think it's an inferiority complex created by the Colts and Patriots....and perhaps losing to a Broncos team that just tanked against one of your self-described lame NFC teams. Hmm....

Dr. Hoffman has spoken.

No Dr. Hoffman I know what you meant, Its just a hobby of mine to talk trash to Browns fans. To clarify, I don't think the NFC is LAME, I just don't think that most can put up with the AFC thats all. I look at a majority of the Power rankings and see teams like the Giants or the Packers before the Steelers or the Jags or Titans and I ask myself if any could pose a serious threat to them. I like the Cowboys, Packers and Giants, I think they are the only "for real" teams, but none can beat the better teams of the AFC in my opinion.

As for Dr. Hoffman I leave you with the following

14 of the last 15 - I'm sure you know what this means!

Oh that was all P.D.A. (Pre Derek Anderson)....

Truth be told, the Browns lack of a pass rush will continue to hamstring them when attempting to beat the better teams of the league. For years, Browns fans were screaming "fix the offensive line!!!!" to repair their offensive woes. We were right, of course. They fixed it, and well you see the results. Now the Browns must focus on the foundation of the defense - the D-line.

But their defensive difficulties will still not completely hamper their abilities to win a few from the upper echelon of teams. On any given Sunday - be afraid of their offensive playmakers. Doesn't hurt that their special teams are overall one of the best in the league.

Ok. If the Lions are up by 10 pts. by the time the Colts/Pats game starts, Ill go with the Colts winning. Is that legal?

Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 9

Not exactly the easiest week for picks:

Sunday:
Cincinnati at Buffalo
Coin Flip
San Francisco at Atlanta
Anyone can beat Atlanta this year
Denver at Detroit
(Unfortunately) Detroit's on a roll
Green Bay at Kansas City
K.C is not a big threat this year. My 2 cents: the Pack should be Undefeated
San Diego at Minnesota
Minnesota needs to can't rely solely on a rookie (probably Rookie of the Year) to win every game
Jacksonville at New Orleans
Not many people are talking about the Jags; they're just quietly doing their thing
Washington at New York Jets
Guaranteed win for the Jets because this is the one weak I don't pick them
Carolina at Tennessee
VY will pick the Panther's D apart
Arizona at Tampa Bay
Tampa has worked a lot since last week. They don't want a repeat
Seattle at Cleveland
Boy am I gonna get so replies about the Browns for this
Houston at Oakland
Um...
New England at Indianapolis
NE is just too good right now. In the playoffs however, I'll probably go the other way
Dallas at Philadelphia
Dallas>Philly

Monday:
Baltimore at Pittsburgh
Battle of the D won by Pitt

No not at all - you're entitled to your opinion, and I could see the game going either way. I think it'll come down to who protects the ball better.

From watching the Pats play they have had no difficulties against any team so far this year, but Indy has had to fight for every W they have so far, its going to be Pats all the way this year.

Are you serious? Have you seen the caliber of teams the Patriots have played vs. the teams the Colts have played? The Colts have faced tougher opponents week after week and still have managed to outscore them significantly. I don't keep track of the Patriot's cheating football program, but if the toughest opponent they've faced is the Cleveland Browns, then wow, just wow, man, they've really had some hard games. We'll see how it plays out on Sunday, but saying the Patriots have an advantage over the Colts because they've won by more is just a ridiculous argument when you look at the teams they have faced. What was actually their toughest team, the Buffalo Bills? Really, c'mon now.

New England at Indianapolis-Here is all I have to say, Indy has beat some good teams (New Orleans, Tennessee, Denver Jacksonville) but I think the quality of teams the Patriots have beaten (San Diego, Dallas, Cleveland, and their punching bags Washington) is slightly higher. I don't think New England is going to blow out the Colts, like they have with everyone else but i still think that New England is going to win. Moss/Welker/Watson is right now a better combo then Wayne/Clark and an injured Harrison. If Marvin was healthy I think I might pick the Colts but with him out and the Pats so angry at the world, I will pick New England.

Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 9

Well it was a close match but the Patriots came out on top. I still think they're one of the dirtiest football teams out there. 10 penalties for 146 yards? Wow. Way to stay classy. Besides just the usual interference calls that come with any football game, you had personal fouls, tripping of linemen, and even holding someone out of bounds during a return. And Belicheck couldn't even acknowledge Tony Dungy after the game. I loathe the Patriots.

See you in the playoffs. With Marvin Harrison.

They did face another undefeated team. Though they were not even in the same league as the Patriots. Whatever team TO is on.
