... Colts shoulda won, but I only saw 2 minutes because the Houston game was going on and they beat Oakland with some great plays. They also made many stupid mistakes...

Besides just the usual interference calls that come with any football game, you had personal fouls, tripping of linemen, and even holding someone out of bounds during a return. And Belicheck couldn't even acknowledge Tony Dungy after the game. I loathe the Patriots.

See you in the playoffs. With Marvin Harrison.

I think of that as even more impressive, they were able to spot the Colts 146 yards and still win. Also it won't matter if the Colts have Harrison or not in the playoffs he has been historically bellow average during the playoffs. If it is in New England that will only make it tougher for the Colts. This was the worst game the Patriots have played, and you can credit the Colts for causing them havoc. But outside of Addai the Colts didn't really play well. I think the Pats are the best team this year and have proved it so far, but they still have Pittsburgh and the New York Giants, two teams that are tough matchups for them. The Colts have another tough game next week (although after today the Chargers don't look so tough) and still have J-Ville, Tennessee and @ Baltimore. I think the Pats chances of going undefeated are a little better than 70%, they have two tough opponents, but it should not be to hard.

Not exactly the "don't stand a chance" result many Patriots fans predicted, eh?

And the Browns just won a game they used to lose on a regular basis. Yet another shootout - I'm not complaining. Bend but don't break!!!

I don't find it impressive at all when a team consistantly violates the rules, many times with personal fouls. Someone needs to teach the Patriots a little humility, maybe then they'll show their opponents a little more respect.

I'm not going to say something like the Colts should have won, because they didn't. They lost, they were outplayed in the fourth quarter.

I've attached a logo for the Patriots that I think they should consider incorporating.

Before you start bashing a team lets look at the stats:

NE averages 4.7 penalties a game, averaging 38.1 yards per game. They are the 6th best (meaning fewest penalities) team in the NFL. Thats not to bad considering Indy is what... only 4.1 penalties a game and 26.1 yards per game.

Honestly its not that different.

Stop being a sore loser.

Good Job Colts... it was a great game and you proved us all wrong.

"Who can beat a team the unbeaten Colts, up 10 at home, couldn't close out? No one. Sorry, Miami Class of '72. These Patriots are in a league of their own." Gene Wojciechowski, "neutral" ESPN writer.

These hacks just don't get it, do they?

And don't get me started on Bill Simmons.

You know, ESPN should just rename their network to ECSPN (East Coast Sports Pandering Network) and be done with it.

Did you know at one time way back in the day, ESPN strongly considered taking their entire operation to CLEVELAND, not Bristol, CT? Ah, what could have been.

I don't think you should view a heavy penalized team (like the Patriots were yesturday) as dirty or unsportsmanlike. If a team is penalized alot, it usually means they are undesciplined or routinly out of position. For example, the reason you commit a pass interference is because you are out of position and you need to stop the reciever from catching the ball; if you were in position there would be no need to grab the WR. Its the same with offensive holding; if you had the d-lineman blocked well, there is no need to hold. Penalities only mean a team is undisciplined and out of position, not because they are dirty or unclassy.

I don't like the pats at all. and I like the colts

That said, I think they got the short end of the stick when it came to all those PI calls. The benefit of the doubt was absolutely going to Indy on offense and defense.

all this talk about the pats and indy i would swear that there wasnt another game going on this week. as much as the pats are crushing this season, same with indy, i dont think either of them will win the superbow. i think that the nfc will come out on top for who ever they put up there wether it be the cowboys, giants, packers, saints, or the lions. and yes i said it the lions. you have to look at all the other theams this year. who have the pats beat???? the jets, chargers, bills, browns, bengals. only two of those teams have a defence that can stop my 2 year old neice from scoring from her own endzone. the cowboys and indy are the only teams they have beaten that has any kind of inclination of winning a superbowl. (dont get me wrong...i like the browns and the chargers, i have a man crush on LT haha) you have to look at that. they put up 52 points on the worst team in the league...isnt every one??? more later...dinner is calling.

Point made. There were some incredible games this week. Detroit discovered they know how to play D. The longest play in NFL history took place. The Saints put up 399 yards in the first HALF. There's more to football than one 24-20 game.
