HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
So, what does everyone have planed for today/tonight?
I'm working, schooling, and then working at a Haunted House in my area, and then partying with my Haunted House crew at Denny's till at least 1am I hope! :D (Good thing I still have some vacation time left for tomorrow morning). And for those of you who went to River Rage this past weekend, I'm in my same costume today at work as I type this as I was then. I'll have to get a pic of it. Yay modified referee costume! :yikes: |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
Happy Halloween Elgin and to all my fellow CDers. May you have fun.

Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
I have a class tonight and I'm highly annoyed... the only good thing about it is that tonight's lecture is on folklore and urban legends. A group of us from class are going to dress up for it...
I really wanted to be home for trick-or-treaters since it's our first Halloween in our new house... I usually get home around 8, maybe there will still be some kids out then... I know we stayed out that late when I was a kid. Heidi |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
My friend Judy and I are going out trick or treating with her sister. Oh, and it's her sister's birthday, so we're going to treat her to dinner & dessert. YAY for getting to be a little kid one more year!

Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
I plan to sit on the porch pretending to be a scarecrow and scare any trick-or-treaters that come by, then get candy from my brothers/sister.
Halloween, the only day you're encouraged to take candy from strangers :D |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
One year when my team was desperate for money I went door to door on Halloween selling raffletickets. It was a gated community.
Tonight I'm just going to stay home. |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
I'm home after our robotics meeting, handing out candy and working on homework.
My desk is situated by a window from which I can see my driveway. As Trick-or-Treaters walk past the cars, I set off the panic-alarms on them from inside the house - it gives them a pretty good scare. :p EDIT: The trick-or-treaters have stopped arriving, at least for the last hour or so. The last group came at about 7:57, and the North Brunswick curfew was at 8 o'clock. |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
Tonight I'm going to sit on a porch with my 19 year daughter. She will hand out the treats and be nice while I sit among pumpkins and candles, hold a flashlight under my chin, tell silly Halloween jokes, and enjoy the beautiful night air/stars and squeals of children as they scamper next door.
Happy Halloween everyone. |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
Without knowing, the Israeli FIRST members organized a meeting of team captains just to talk about FIRST, and out off season, in Tel-Aviv.
When we scheduled it to November 1st, we didnt even think that it's halloween, and now seeing this thread i just had to mention it =] |

I roasted pumpkin seeds and passed out treats. No fancy system, but the cooly carved pumpkin is on the front steps! :) |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
Well, today I had a robotics meeting. Then I came home and situated myself in front of my laptop to do my AP Chem lab report that's due tomorrow.
Happy Halloween, everyone! :) |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
Listening to my doorbell being rung every five minutes as I try to read for AP English is what is happening and will continue for another few hours...

When I used to trick-or-treat, we usually went until 10-o'clock or so or until we saw no more houses had lights on, and then we got the hint it was time to go home. lol |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
I worked. It was free "Boo-rito" day, if you came in with foil wrapped around any part of your body (including your pinkie) then you get a free burrito, burrito bowl, salad, or tacos. Non-stop lines out the door since 2pm, we close at 10. Didn't get off until 1:30am (cleaning and such). But it's not like I do anything on Halloween anyways.
@Elgin: Yeah, at least around northern Ohio there's always been a Halloween curfew, usually around either dusk or sometime shortly after. Saftey, obviously. |
Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
At least they didn't cancel Halloween in S. Florida this year. I was almost hoping they would because of the coming tropical storm.
As I told my AP Psych teacher, for Halloween, I was going to pretend to be a cool person on the Internet. (But I do that everyday. I don't get candy, but I can have cookies!) |

Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! (2007)
Our robot spent the evening passing out candy at the high school. The school's chapter of Buisness Professionals of America had all of the clubs come in and host a "safe trick or treat" thing. I wasn't able to go (evening lab class) but the team estimated about 500 kids came by.
