I'm a niners fan, but I don't think they even have a shot. I have nice runs of betting home and away teams though :P I'd say the games I'm most uncertain about are Chicago/Oakland and Cinci/Baltimore, because all four of those team are playing like crap.
Edit: I can't believe I am going against Adrian Peterson again this week. However, the pack is playing great, and Minny's defense against the pass is not that impressive. Now that's I've said this, watch Brett Farve channel his inner Joey Harrington, and AP run for at least 200yards/2TDs.

Byes: Houston, New England, New York Jets, Tampa Bay

Sunday:
Atlanta at Carolina
For some reason, I like the Panthers in this.
Minnesota at Green Bay
Team without a running game beats the team without a passing game.
Denver at Kansas City
No LJ = No Way
Buffalo at Miami
Miami just might have another perfect season.
St. Louis at New Orleans
One-time 0 and 4 Saints are playoff bound.
Cleveland at Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh is playing inspired ball
Jacksonville at Tennessee
All they do is win.
Philadelphia at Washington
This should be a much better game than it will be.
Cincinnati at Baltimore
Baltimore's O is decrepit
Detroit at Arizona
10 wins baby
Dallas at New York Giants
Upset pick of the week
Chicago at Oakland
Indianapolis at San Diego

Monday:
San Francisco at Seattle
12th Man wins this for the 'Hawks

Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 10

Atlanta at Carolina
Joey Harrington > David Carr
Minnesota at Green Bay
Nick Barnett and A.J. Hawk will put Adrian Peterson in his place.
Denver at Kansas City
Kansas City's D hadn't allowed more than 20 points until last week against GB.
Buffalo at Miami
Dolphins remain winless.
St. Louis at New Orleans
Same for St. Louis, though facing the Saints D could get the Rams O rolling...
Cleveland at Pittsburgh
Browns will keep it close, but the difference is too big on Defense.
Jacksonville at Tennessee
Titans D should keep Maurice Jones-Drew and company in check.
Philadelphia at Washington
Eagles lost earlier this year (20-12 @ Philadelphia) and they'll lose again.
Cincinnati at Baltimore
Chris Henry should help with Chad getting jacked up last week and the Baltimore secondary sucked Monday night.
Detroit at Arizona
How can you NOT pick the Lions right now?
Dallas at New York Giants
Game of the Week. I would like to see the Giants pass rush to bring Romo down a notch.
Chicago at Oakland
Even though the Bears are bad, I still can't pick the Raiders to beat them.
Indianapolis at San Diego
Watch out for Shawne Merriman. Patriots showed everyone where to attack the Colts O-line (Charlie Johnson).
San Francisco at Seattle
Low-scoring game... I definitely won't be watching. San Francisco hasn't scored over 20 points yet this season. Seattle's low (not counting a shut-out to the Steelers): 17 points.

I can scarcely read that lovely shade of liquid waste yellow you're sporting. Are you trying to suggest that the Stealers are the "Pitts", oh young one? :D

Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 10

Sunday:
Atlanta at Carolina
It's a divisional game, but unfortunately It won't count for much.

Minnesota at Green Bay
Green Bay can stop the run, so we'll see what AP is made of.

Denver at Kansas City
Another divisional game, but KC wins with Priest carrying the load

Buffalo at Miami
Miami is going to win at least once this year, this isn't one of them.

St. Louis at New Orleans
N'Orleans is gonna assert itself.

Cleveland at Pittsburgh
This isn't the same team that the Burgh played week one, this is going to be the game of the week.

Jacksonville at Tennessee
It's a close one, but I give it to VY

Philadelphia at Washington
The Eagles looked stagnant the first time they played, they won't look much better here.

Cincinnati at Baltimore
Cincinnati can't stop any points, but Baltimore can't score any...so It's really a toss up.

Detroit at Arizona
Detroit wins handily.

Dallas at New York Giants
It'll be less of a scorefest than week 1, but the result is the same.

Chicago at Oakland
If this game goes the other way, I wouldn't be surprised.

Indianapolis at San Diego
Indy wipes the taste of defeat from its mouth and pummels San Diego.

Monday:
San Francisco at Seattle
San Fran is looking forward to a top five pick next April.

Counting down the hours now to the most important Steelers - Browns game in years. History dictates that Travis will be crying in the corner, but this is a new Brownies team. I have a feeling the Steelers and the Browns just may meet yet again in the playoffs this year and I can't believe I'm saying that. For now we play for the AFC north lead and I wait to see Travis cry in that corner. GO STEELERS!

After that game, it's the Steelers who should be crying.

The Browns exceeded my expectations in every facet of the game, including defense. They actually had a pass rush and sacked the Big Dumb Oaf today!

To have a realistic shot at the end to tie (but not being able to because Phil Dawson couldn't hit a long-distance FG if his life depended on it), I'm happy with it.

Derek Anderson forgot how to throw accurately in the 2nd half - he had looks but failed to take advantage. I am glad he didn't make any dumb mistakes. Actually the Browns protected the ball VERY well. To have your only turnover on a play where your RB is fighting and pushing the pile to turn a 5 yard gain into 7, well I'll take that.

And did the Steelers' vaunted D even sack Anderson once? Hmmm.

I think the Browns do have a shot at winning out if they keep putting up the points. They continue to be in every game they play, right to the end. Steelers? There's no way in heck you beat the Patriots. Unfortunately.

Kyle379 11-11-2007 18:13

Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 10

The steelers won the game, and as bad as they played in the first half, they woke up in the second half and outscored the Browns 25-7. Special teams was horrible as usual. At 7-2 the steelers could lose two more games and still lead the division. I think it speaks volumes when a team has nothing going for them in the first half and can come out in the second half and make enough plays to win the game.

The Steelers pressured Anderson, but didn't sack him because Winslow needs someone to cover him and most of the sack masters (or decoys) were doing such. 14 of those points are because of kickoff returns (one TD and one to the goal line), and another TD came off of a short field from a Big Ben interception.

It was sloppy and as bad as Roethlisberger looked he finished with a 99.9 rating and 49 yards rushing, not bad.

The better team won and thats all that matters. Its cool to know that the Steelers-Browns rivalry is back though. Maybe these teams will meet again in the playoffs.

Re: 2007 NFL Pick-em: Week 10

I actually thought the FG was barely good. So do a couple other friends.

It's hard to say whether it'd have affected the outcome of the FG, but the false start penalty that drove them back 5 yards was totally wrong. The tackle never moved, only the TE backed off as if to go in motion.
