I am looking into how a tesla coil works and showing this to several friends. Wish I could actually make one though. I would probably end up getting fried in the end though.

i wouldnt mind trying this, im used to electricution or major shock (when i was 4 i stuck a knife into an outlet:D and here i am today building robots...i dont think this affected by brain!)

anybody else got (un)funny electricution stories?

I took a set of luggage keys on a ring and stuck one in the left prong...one in the riZZZZAAAAPPPPP!!! I don't remember much beyond this, for good reason. My dad had to shut off the breaker to remove the keys as it never blew...makes me not so confident in the wiring job in that house.

That, and I've got an inverter now that gives you a strange buzzing feeling in your fingers when you touch the chassis. Probably not good.
