Wow, we're still celebrating our SVR win and Davis is already quickly approaching.
For those of you who saw us at SVR, we haven't played to our full potential just yet, not even close. Davis should be very different from SVR for the team, well, maybe except the final result.:rolleyes:

but I'm super excited we leave tomorrow morning for the long drive down and should reach our hotel in time to eat, watch the new southpark and get to sleep!

Hiyaa. I'm from 1868, and while we didn't have enough funds to do both SVR and Davis this year, I at least, still wanted to drop by. I was wondering if there was anyone from the San jose area going up late Thursday/early Friday, and if so, if I could perhaps hitch a ride. I know it's a shot in the dark here but just throwing it out there.

How about this: in Davis, as I type. My family decided to come up on Wednesday so we could do the UC Davis tour (junior year) and spare the 6am car ride. Looks like a few other teams have arrived already too, presumably those traveling from further away. I saw the ARC Pavilion today and it looks nice and freshly scrubbed for 3 days of robots... :D

Gah, why am I still here at 1 am? I need to be up in three hours... I'll see you in seven hours or so.

Oh, really, freshly scrubbed? Well, in about nine hours it will be scrubbed again by robots, directly into the nice shiny polycarb...

A bunch of us from Paly Robotics will be up at Davis tomorrow, and we'd love to help anyone if you need it. We're not sure what we'll be doing, or if we'll be volunteering or anything, but if you need any help (that we could help you with), please let us know if you see us walking around aimlessly :P

I'm going up to Davis in the morning to visit some of my friends going there. I'm gonna try to stop by the event to watch the playoffs. Good luck to all the teams. Make the playoffs exciting for those of us who just get to watch and not play.;)

The competition is looking nice so far, teams are doing quite well. However it seems that yesterday, almost everything that could break for our team did,

We had 2 very loose chains (removed links and tightened up)
A loose shifter (re-tightened)
one of our solenoids was leaking air through the exhaust portion, that wasn't just exhaust air. (we swapped out the solenoid)
our arm snapped off, it had been under alot of stress and i was impressed with how long it lasted (we had spares and swapped it out)

but now i feel we're in peak playing condition. I'm afraid we won't get picked, (we're rank like 30+) :(
but we know that whoever chooses us will be especially pleased, when we play alot better than yesterday. :D
