I am pretty flexible on music, but the stuff that is being played over the webcast is really shocking. An hour ago I sent the URL out to a bunch of my group's kids, of which some in elementary school - encouraging them to chack it out, trying to convince them to go to Chesapeake.:ahh: Now I had to send them an apology. :(

Is this a FIRST-provided DJ? Or is the music being inserted by another party for the web feed? This does not look good.

Except for the filler line, which means that it could be any team at the regional that wasn't already on the other alliance.

I agree that the music is a problem. The f-bomb isn't very gracious and profanity in general isnt very professional.

I dig Trapt though.

Dave, this is a contractor that reports to the event management. I'll send a heads up.
Or is it coming from the feed? Is the music coming from SOAP?

Mort (11)'s roller arm is pretty slick. grabs the ball quickly and hurdles well.

Yeah, around this time of the year, I used to have webcasts up on the projector in the office's conferencing area. They were pretty innocuous, and good conversation starters for passers-by. Muting it means none of us can hear what's going on now =).

I can understand many people don't realize that wedo stuff with these webcast where even questionable dialog is bad, but it DOES make a difference.

Other than that:

A few good bots, I expected to be a bit more hurdling than I've seen, but it's certainly not bad.

Rooting for our fellow Canadians on 1547, I think they've built the perfect speedster, and am impressed. Unfortunately, I think they might get stung by the serpentine on Saturday...

That red alliance robot looks like a toddler trying to walk for the first time, it just can;t stay upright.

Midwest webcast is also running for the moment for those of you who just can't get enough
