Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
Nice try 25, couldn't get it to stick on top at the end. Nice score.
|
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
i like it this way
|
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
the scissors bot is really god! just placed a ball on overpass
|
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
25 seems to have alignment difficulties knocking balls off of the overpass, both during auto and teleop. I'm sure this is just programming and driver training, but it does show the flaw in the "nudging-a-ball-with-something-that-is-over-6-feet-tall" concept. That being said they ran two very impressive rounds, and their pickup method really shined.
But I was REALLY impressed by Waldo's drivers and the way their robot seemed to be handling the course. They got a solid 7-8, seem to be sliding around the corners pretty well, and managed to deal with traffic really well. A really strong showing for the strengths of RC car robots. |

Is it just me? Or are the same teams practicing over and over again. I have been looking for my team for the past hour (293) I have not seen em once, yet 25 has gone 4 times. Schedule be wacky.

Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
Make sure you have Flip4Mac installed it converts the Windows Media stream to quicktime. Thats what I am using.
And open Practice?? I like the idea, I can remember a couple of years when we would be the only team on the field for practice.... |
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
Does anybody know if 25 is playing again today?
I still have not seen them. :( |
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
25 is up right now, great collision avoidance to manage a ball + a lap in hybrid.
EDIT: drivers still need some practice though, just bounced a ball off of the overpass and backwards. EDIT2: They seem to be playing very frequently by utilizing the filler line, you have to look for their robot and not their team number in the scoring system. |
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
do you guys have the link to the plug-in because i can't find it
|
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
wow! 24 hybrid points for 25!

Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
 25 just launched over the lane divider for a hurdle
|
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
I believe I just spotted a very nice hurdle from quadrant 4 :yikes:.
|
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
oh my god!
25 just hurdled from another quarter of the field! amazing! |

Who were the good performers today? I was able to see only one half of a match all day. I take it from this thread 2016 was good, 25 was good, and 1547 has a silly-sick drive team & speeds that allow for 6-7 laps? Nice. Any other standouts so far? |
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
Not again.
|
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
ijust would like more metal and rock, the majority of people in FIRST like that genre.. that i know of.. lol

Also I am amazed at the good quality of the cast considering I am in London England right now!!! |

There is a tall inclined elevator/launcher with holonomic drive and a scissor lift (75?) that have both gotten at least 2 hurdles in a match. |

Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
I am pretty flexible on music, but the stuff that is being played over the webcast is really shocking. An hour ago I sent the URL out to a bunch of my group's kids, of which some in elementary school - encouraging them to chack it out, trying to convince them to go to Chesapeake.:ahh: Now I had to send them an apology. :(
Is this a FIRST-provided DJ? Or is the music being inserted by another party for the web feed? This does not look good. |

Mort (11)'s roller arm is pretty slick. grabs the ball quickly and hurdles well.

I can understand many people don't realize that wedo stuff with these webcast where even questionable dialog is bad, but it DOES make a difference. Other than that: A few good bots, I expected to be a bit more hurdling than I've seen, but it's certainly not bad. Rooting for our fellow Canadians on 1547, I think they've built the perfect speedster, and am impressed. Unfortunately, I think they might get stung by the serpentine on Saturday... |
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
That red alliance robot looks like a toddler trying to walk for the first time, it just can;t stay upright.
Midwest webcast is also running for the moment for those of you who just can't get enough |
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
I've never seen a bot tip over 15 times in a match:eek:
Well...thats all folks. |
Re: 2008 New Jersey Regional
that was painful to watch. Go little robot, you can do it.
