Light Sensor Filter
 
I was reading the Light Sensor inventors guide http://www.vexlabs.com/docs/inventor...nsor-final.pdf and it says that I can give my robot color vision by using a color filter. What kind of color filter would I need and where could I buy it?

Let's say you wanted the sensor to ignore RED. If you put a red filter over the sensor, red will look the same as white, and green will look black. Try it with something clear but colored, look at an object with that color, or the opposite color, to see what I mean

One cool effect is to look outside at grass and trees with a green filter.

Colored bits of clear plastic sheets are often sold at better photography stores, known as color gels.

You can also make color filters for light sensors on the cheap by using the ones from retro 3D glasses like these:
