I just saw on CNN some serious flooding in the Indianapolis area associated with a 3rd round of severe weather this past week. Does anyone know what kind of condition the Castleton area is in? How are the area teams doing? Any problems with the venue?

A tornado ripped through north of town earlier this week, destroying an apartment complex and possibly creating isses for members of 829, 868, 1018, and 1024; right now the flooding is primarily on the southside. Teams that may be experiencing flooding right now are 234, 1272, 1529, and 1741.
I don't think there will be any venue problems with the 1024 host school, Lawrence North High.

I currently live in Castleton and drive by LN (Lawrence North) every morning on my way to work. As bolier stated there are issues with people homes however the school is fine.

Hey just as a question, are lap indicators going to be used? We will be taking off the cable if not but wanted to be sure before we took it off, then needed it back on.

No on-board lap counters are being used. We will solely depend on the referee scoring.

Bacon will be at the Extended Stay Hotel on N. Shadeland Ave. Full Kitchens and 2 double beds for 79.00 per night.

I know I've asked this before, but maybe theres any answer now. Any idea on a event schedule for IRI? Times for Thursday, Friday and Saturday? Door times and pit closings and the likes. Thanks.

There is a schedule on page three of Chris Fultz's IRI information paper, posted on this site's white paper area.

Here is the schedule:

V. Dates and Times

A. Dates – The 2008 IRI is Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19.
B. Times – Thursday July 17
....Team Load In* 7 PM – 9PM
C. Times – Friday July 18
....Doors open at 7 AM
....Practice matches 8 AM – 10:00 AM
....Opening Ceremonies 10:45 AM
....Matches begin at 11 AM (ending by 7pm)
....Activities end at 9:30 PM
....Doors close at 10:00 PM
D. Times – Saturday July 19
....Doors open at 7 AM
....Opening Ceremonies 8:00 AM
....Matches begin at 8:15 AM
....Finals begin at 1:30 PM
....Activities end at 4:00 PM
....Doors close at 5:30 PM

* This is only for bringing in your robot and setting up your pit area. There will be no practice or field time available for teams. All teams must depart by 9 PM.
