You know, amongst all the chaos that circles in and out of these forums every day, sometimes its hard to remember exactly where it comes from. The success of the Chief Delphi forum, while in a large part has been the responsiblity of the Martus family, is greatly attributed to the dedication of those people whom since close to its inception, have been "regulars".

These regulars have shaped these boards, and in many ways have shaped the FIRST community as we know it.

Ken Loyd, was one of these "regulars".

Ken had been posting for as long as I can remember. His opinions and thoughts were always well stated and appreciated. Ken was truely one of the special people in this program. In no small part, Ken was one good reason why the FIRST community is so special, and survives today.

From those of us who have been around a while, we salute you Ken. May you forever be remembered for all the good you have done.

True, true. Ken will be sorely missed. He has been a pillar for FIRST support for the last 10 years, maybe more. At many events, he would volunteer in many roles. He was an expert announcer, filed teams through their queing lines, and ran the pit administration table. He did this while also being a very dependable mentor for numerous teams throughout the years.

Ken Lloyd was always a supportive, smiling face who made FIRST a great thing to be a part of.

We will all miss Ken.

May peace be with his family in this difficult time of loss.

Sadly,
Andy Baker

Ken was one of those wonderful people that became part of the FIRST infrastructure. Whether working with his team, or staffing a competition event, or providing his wisdom on these forums, he provided continuous support to the entire FIRST community. He had the dedicated focus to just make things happen. Without fanfare, he solved problems, provided answers, and made sure things worked. One might be tempted to overlook these contributions, because no recognition was requested or required. But the reality is that this program flourishes because Ken, and all those like him, make it successful. And it was while doing that Ken made perhaps his greatest contribution - reminding us that FIRST is about the people, and not the robots. Ken, we will miss you.
