Does anyone have video of the Mascots dancing on the field? If so, is there any way you can post it?

haha, that's exactly what i was doing. I'm hoping to find one that shows him doing the sprinkler and the pancake. He makes a fool of himself doing it all the time, it's just better with the goat head =].

Mr.D has the complete video feed. Ask him for a copy. You can tell him it's for the team. LOL

FYI, I have DVDs of both St. Louis and Boilermaker Regionals house feeds. Each one is a 4 disk set consisting of Friday morning, Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon.

Also, Congratulations to teams 111, 1024, and 876! You were a great alliance!

I would be glad to create a torrent and upload this to a Bittorrent tracker, would be a much more efficient way of distributing it than burning tons and tons of discs.. If you arent using Bittorrent, google it, it rocks.

Welcome to FIRST, and congratulations! It appears you are hooked. I'm going to guess you meant to say you're looking forward to the 2009 FRC build season?

Your team built a solid scoring machine for 2008 -- for those at other regionals I would describe it as a pallet-loader / placekicker. Very reliable and effective hurdler. I enjoyed inspecting your robot at Boilermaker, and was thrilled when our teams were selected to join the same alliance for the eliminations. Thank you, 2368!

Absolutely. We had a better-than-expected hurdling capability, but the pallet-loading was the bottleneck. We failed to take into account quickly re-acquiring the ball bouncing all over the place... That was certainly 111's advantage, when they hurdled, they just rolled forward and picked the ball right back up.

It would be amazing if you could make a torrent of it! Then everyone can see it the video.

And we also had the same problem, our loading system wasn't always reliable (the ball could slip out) and we could get caught on other robots (2081).

I only wish we could have gotten all the bugs out of the auto mode the fire put in. We were tuning it to get even more lines than in chicago, but it ended up we programmed our way around all the random sensor problems we were having and settled for five lines... this time. :o

We're overhauling the robot at buckeye (time for it's 50,000ft checkup, yes, the odometer reads about 49,896ft on the robot) so we should finally run accross whatever's acting screwy.

See you all in Cleveland! Thanks again to 876 and 111, you guys are great!

I'll upload it just for Jessica. There are some good shots of her boyfriend.

I downloaded BitTorrent. Now I need to convert the DVD to a wmv file to upload it.

Hello Mark Pierce,

234 was a great robot and headed up the 4th alliance. 1000 was a strong runner and headed up the 8th alliance. I am a team mentor with team 2171. We were chosen for the 5th ranked alliance. We had a great 3 round match against 234's alliance. We advanced and lost in the semifinals against 111, 1024, and a great team from Dakota, I believe 876. The Robodogs,Team 2171, are a second year team and are looking forward to coming up with team 71 The Beast, 234 Cyber Blue, and the 1000 Cybercats and represent Indiana well. We look forward to competing this weekend.

Vince

A .bmp? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that an image file? I always encode to .avi or to .ogm to conserve space but maintain quality. .mkv is good too, but they tend to get quite large.

EDIT: You could also use RealMedia format. You take a bit of a hit to quality during high motion sequences, but the file size and subsequent transfer time are greatly reduced.

Thanks for all of the reports on the low webcast quality - I wouldn't blame it on Real yet...someone was apparently eating up an enormous amount of bandwidth at the event site and it seems this was a lot of the problem. This is something we will work on improving in the future.

Feel free to send us any more comments/suggestions...hope everyone had a good time!
