There is a thread started for people who have received the e-mail, the part, or both here:

You say you saw it, but did you read it? Ten seconds of searching shows that at least Team 1357 from Loveland has theirs.

Team 1357 from Loveland, CO has received it. (and broke it once already :D )

Our package even said Wednesday on it. So, i figure it was supposed to come on Wed for us.

maybe they are going in numerical order.

Thank you for giving my students a chance to make a mistake. I have a new group of kids on my team this year and they are not used to how the forum works. They are also freaking out because they read that other teams have gotten the hint but we haven't yet.

I apologize if this may sound rude, but with the traffic that Chief Delphi gets, and the amount of new comers to the forums every day, if everyone decided to make a topic (you'll get a visual come January), than it causes havoc and CD becomes a mess. On top of that the CD users and the staff are all volunteers and dedicate their time to contribute and help improve the community atmosphere. When a question has been repeatedly asked in multiple threads by the same people, it gets a bit irritating.

We don't want you t not ask questions, we just want you to search before you ask because many times your question has been asked and answered before.

EDIT:

That is very understandable. May I advise you to suggest to your students to read some of the FAQs as well as some of the stickies? Those threads may help questions get answered a lot quicker!

Thanks,
Pavan

He was looking for info from Colorado teams specifically. He was concerned that we may not get it before school lets out for break.

I apologize for his error.

I realize this, all im sayin is that that guy didnt have to be rude about it. Not everyone has the time to look at every thread, espetially one with 500+ posts.

Its cool to refer someone to another thread if there is alredy one, its acually a big help, but don't try to make them feel stupid in the process.

I hope ours comes today because I will not be here tomorrow and technically today is our last day of school until after the kick-off:ahh:

I think a lot of people can sympathize with this scenario, or may be in the same one.
It's just a problem due to circumstances which are not under your control un fortunately, so don't get stressed about it too much.
(You have 6 weeks of build to get stressed about all kinds of other things) :ahh:

My best advice I can give you, is to do one of the following:

A) Now that you know what teams in your state have the board due to this thread, find one of them and maybe contact them & work with them to get some info about it.

B) Read (and learn from) the discussions posted here about the people testing their board until you can get yours. (Remember; over 1500 active FRC teams were shipped boards and the ones who received them are already crunching hard data about them and reporting back to the FIRST community via these forums)

I think that's about all you can do which would lead to some productivity in this situation.

Good luck with however it unfolds, and I hope your board does come tomorrow! Here's to that! :)

418 is one of the older teams in Texas and to my knowledge, we haven't received the package yet. It can be a little nerve wracking to read the thread with posters saying they have received theirs but I'm not too worried about it. We have the same break as well, with tomorrow being the last day of school before break. If we get it, we get it - if we don't, we don't. We still have Elgin's excellent advice to follow. :)

Re: Game hint for Colorado teams

Team #1552 is off for Christmas break. Kickoff is the Saturday before we return to school. We'll receive our game clue after we have our kit of parts because the package will probably be in the locked office when we come into the school to inventory the kit.

I find it odd that FIRST decided to ship these out so late. It's incredibly close to kickoff, and insanely close to when many schools are starting their Christmas break.
Oh well, at least we have the manual that was linked to in the images people have been posting to work with.

Re: Game hint for Colorado teams

That is the exact reason our team uses my house as our shipping contact.

We receive packages much sooner, and if there is a break such as now, we wont miss it because of no school.

Well we finally got our hint and my kids can breathe again...of course they have no clue what it is.
