Alright, just for kicks, based on the clues, I'm going to post my final prediction.

There will be one large tetrahedron shaped object that will give substantial bonus points to whichever alliance has it on their special place at the end of the match.

Autonomous mode will be in the beginning again.

There will be 4 goals. These goals will have changing red and blue lights indicating which alliance hey count for. Lights will change by time periods, or by robots sending signals to them.

Game Pieces will fit over the goals, not into them.

Other than the large bonus tetra, there will be 3 ways to score. Getting the game piece onto the goal, getting the game piece into a certain area, or positioning your robot on top of a field element at the end of the match.

There will be a slight incline slippery ramp with a sharp vertex located midfield.

One, two, or three pipes will be used in the field's construction.

I have actually enjoyed FIRST significantly more since graduation. You'll see.

Let the stress fest begin.

Bad news: I will sadly not be making it to the local kick-off in Novi due to a very late family gathering for XMAS out in KZoo... (first time in 3 years... grr)

That said, I will probably be thinking about the game tomorrow night when I get home.

Otherwise, I go into build season with very few pre-kickoff conclusions as to what the game will be, just interpretations of the three hints.

Good Luck to everyone, and may it be a great season for all!

-Joe

I dunno, T-7:45 till kick-off, I don't know if I'm getting to bed or not! If I do, I may sleep through kick-off, although, if I don't I still may sleep through kick-off AND I probably won't get my scoring spreadsheet done. That's right, I hope to have my scoring spreadsheet posted within the next 21 1/2 hours!

I am exited in a way the the Terms of Service of this website will not allow me to express.

I mean, I should really be asleep now, but... This is my first FIRST (I wonder how many times that pun's been used...) and well... Who hasn't wanted to build a robot since they were five?

Which means now I have to decide between getting NO sleep tonight, or getting 3 hours of cruddy sleep and feeling like... you know... In the morning...

Regardless, good luck to all... I'm going to be spending the next six weeks pretending I have an idea as to what I'm doing... And I'm in charge of half the robot, so you guys know where we're going to place...

Why am I still typing? Really, this post should have ended ages ago... I'm hyper and sleepy at the same time... A destructive combination...

Goodnight.
