IR Board?
<R65> and <R69>, talk about what you can and can not do when it comes to the reciever and transmitter but nothing about using the specific receiver that FIRST gave us. Can someone help me clarify this 'gray area' that says I can make my own IR reciever PROVIDED that I am following <R65> and <R69> by only transmitting four signals.

Re: IR Board?
I would assume you can, as long as you are following the rules about custom circuits.

I imagine interference might be an issue. If you operate your custom system at a different frequency, you may be able to reduce it (I don't know much about IR communication though). Or, you could just go ultrasonic
