Powered decorations, how to control?

The rules allow up to 20A for decorations.... is it permissible to use a VEX controller to operate them? (no motors, just LEDs)

Using the Parts Use flowchart you can find on the last page of section 8 of the manual, it appears that the Vex controller is a legal part to use, assuming that you conform to the electrical rules for connecting it.

For our R2D2 2'x2'x3' "domed cube" idea, we would have roughly 60lbs left over for decorations!
