Re: Need help installing inventor
I got my version of inventor to run just fine, and I have vista ulitmate.
What I maybe did different is not install anything else besides inventor, try that and it might work! Good luck, and i feel your pain also... :) |
Re: Need help installing inventor
You used the student downloader didn't you? The problem that I had with vista while downloading was that it didn't download everything... Use the zipped installation files instead.

Re: Need help installing inventor
...Or you can also use the FirstBase downloader tool. Might help.

Re: Need help installing inventor
yeah, I'm having the same problem with windows vista, you can download a fix from autodesk but you need to have the program already installed to use it which makes no sense.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Need help installing inventor
I have just installed Inventor 2008 on both my Vista Ultimate x64 and my Vista Ultimate x86 boxes without any real issues.
On the x64 box I had to run setup32.exe directly since there is no setup64.exe, and the first time my download got courrupted(wouldn't de-compress), but both machines installed and ran fine. I did use the download tool. I would try re-downloading. |
