Oh, and remember to make and wear CD name tags or buttons (if you have time).

Mom--I don't have to wait till Thursday.:) Though the pit announcement would be a good thing.

And yes, CD name tags are a good thing. I'll be wearing mine throughout the regional.

Nope. There is an easy way to do that, though...I think. I'll check it in a minute and get back to you. [Edit] Printscreen (while you are facing one of your posts), open an image-processing program (Paint works), and paste. Crop out anything you don't want, move everything else around to suit yourself, add trim if you want to, print it out and stick it on some sort of pin/name badge.

Meet and greet. Kind of like the Championship Webhug, without the Championship and the hug itself.

only if there was internet :(

Well, I dont think i need to wear my name. Ill probably be the only one from 599, and we are the Robodox, as most everyone in SoCal knows. Eric+Robodox = EricRobodox. That and I also dont have time to make a pin ;)

I cant wait. As evident from me not logging off CD all day from being home sick.

Unless Mr. Van shows up. ;)

Maybe he will, I dont know if he will even see this thread. Normally he scrolls through robot showcase and technical forums. But he may do a search for "599" and see this thread too. IF the robot is ok, I am sure both of us will be there then.

if people from CD in LA met up several times during the year it would make all our teams better, feels easier than trying to get my team to attend summer meetings :P

im sure as CD people we would get more done. for FIRST and our teams in general.

There are two FIRST related groups that meet semi-regularly all year in LA. The Regional Comittee and SCRRF. Most of us are also on CD though many just lurk. Either group is always looking for new people to help with events.

Let me know if you are interested and I'll show you where to go.

BTW I'm looking forward to watching a true herder at LA. Yours seemed like it will do good job

I'll be wearing a volunteer name tag - robot inspector. I'll put my CD "name tag" on the back of it.
