IR Problems

I just started playing with the IR sesnor and i have some probelms.
When i enter 'Learn' mode and press a button on my remote control, the COM0 led turns off, and the error led turns on. After that it goes to the COM0 again, i press the same button and once again the ERROR led is on.
Same repeats with COM1, 2 and 3.

Any ideas what should i do to overcome this issue?

I am using a univeral remote controller.

Re: IR Problems

If the error LED blinks twice, it means that the remote is sending a non-repeating code. If it blinks four times, that means the remote sends a special key-down command code that is sent over and other until its released.

You might want to try removing ambient lighting and a cleaner power supply. We have had the board blink the error LED on one of our power supplies. Right now we've got it programmed just fine off of a 12V battery.

If it keeps erroring out, just try a new code on your universal remote.

Good luck,

Alex

At first my team used the remote control from the air conditioner but it wasn't a good idea so we are gonna use universal remote controller.
