World's Top 20 Animation Colleges
 

Here's a very interesting spreadsheet by 3D World Magazine. They ranked the top 20 animation colleges around the world, based on the number of student films selected as finalists at major animation festivals (like Siggraph).

Of course attending one of these colleges won't guarantee you'll become an award-winning animator, but it's something to think about!

Really nice. Too bad most of the schools are outside the US. I am not planning on studying abroad...

I'm surprised (as a non-animation student) to hear Full Sail is not on that list.

Being a non-animation student, you would think the only college I've ever heard of offering this type of degree would be on the list...

I guess not.

I've heard good things about Full Sail. Maybe they don't push their students to submit entries to the big animation festivals.

Last year the Full Sail open house was on the same weekend as the Florida Regional FRC. Maybe the dates will coincide again this year. If you're down there, take a look.

I'm quite happy to see my local Sheridan College on the list! It's a 10 minute drive from my house.
