New FIRSTwiki domain!

Since firstwiki.org has expired and was taken by a 3rd party, with a slim chance of getting it back, we have taken some of the funds from the generous donations of the supporting members of ChiefDelphi.com and registered firstwiki.net

Once the domain has been fully registered and the DNS has propagated, be sure to update all of your links and bookmarks. We'll leave wiki.chiefdelphi.com active for a while, redirecting to the new domain.

Good thing we have Chief Delphi watching out for th FIRST wiki site. I think FIRST wiki is a great way to capture history and also accomplish a portion of Dean's Homework this year.

File a domain complaint. They're cybersquatting and that is quite against the law... especially if they're holding out for money.

Re: New FIRSTwiki domain!

that internet law "squatting" doesnt hold up at all..... First come FIRST serve........... Who ever was the original owner should have taken the time to register it for twenty years, or so. Its only five dollars a year through GODADDY.......if you pay up front. Even if the person or persons who "took it over" was taken to court they could just argue the fact that this is their "hobby and special interest", especially since "firstwiki" is NOT incorporated or LLC'ed or what ever you want to call it.. I own several .com, .net, .org, .tv, etc domain names... I own them, was the first to register them, and have domain control over them for the next 15 years, and at thattime ill receive an email stating that they are up for renewal, and by golly i'll renew them...That's exaclty what the original owner of firstwiki should have done. Its not "GP", doesnt have to be if the person is not a Firster.........

Actually, it does hold up quite well. It's worth a shot, the papers can be drafted and filed. Remember "MikeRoweSoft"- the kid's NAME was used as a basis for cybersquatting... and Microsoft won the court case.

Should've would've could've won't get the domain back, unfortunately.

It will have to be FIRST that files the domain complaint-
