Show us what you got!!!
hey i am new to these forums but i thought i would make a small thread that has not yet been started. So here it is, just post some of your work. It can be still frames or a vid, which ever you want. They can be from 3 years ago, a current WPI (Work In Progress), and it can be from out side of FIRST or for FIRST as well.
This is a good way to get some new ideas flowing. Like i never thought of this kind of mesh, or i never knew that was possible. Keep things flowing and the imagination going!!! Rules: Follow Delphi's basic rules (should be a given), and try to list facts about your creations. Like programs used, how many points, faces, hours worked on, rendering time, ect. Hope this works out and i cant wait to see some of your models and videos. John M. |

Re: Show us what you got!!!
Thats the name of the new sword i have made. Yes its one of my best works and i am very proud of how it came out. This is my little entry for this, didn't have time when i made the original post.
The sword was designed by Kit Rae and is also available for purchase if you want a "real" one, not some 3D model. It has 187,891 vertices in the mesh, and 185,376 faces. Any ways in all it took a good 9-11 hours of hard work. At some points it was not an easy task but it came out well. the hardest part was the inscription on the blade. It is not a picture on the sword i actually made it. It alone has about 44,000 vertices and took a good 4 hours to make. Very hard and detailed work. The other part was the skull on the end part of the handle. the horns took a long time as well to get right. Though i did make a few changes from the original in that area. The program i sued was Blender 2.44. No other programs were used. ![]() This sword is not to be used or copied. The maker of the sword (Kit Rae) has this design copyrighted for the reason of making it and using it in animations (so you wont see it in out teams animation). I did get permission to make this model. Thanks, John M. |

Re: Show us what you got!!!
Is the last one a combination of terragen and 3DS? or is it a full screen? Very nice by the way, i also have a textured version of the sword but i am just keeping it simple for now.
Great work!!! John M. |
