Re: pic: Team 1631 teaser...what happened?
Im gonna go ahead and take a good guess that your gripper is some form of suction device.

Re: pic: Team 1631 teaser...what happened?
did you guys try to squeeze it in a tight position, through a door perhaps, ?
|
Re: pic: Team 1631 teaser...what happened?
We don not have our gripper fully operational yet and we did not squeeze it. It was something we made using the ball that caused it to balloon. We thought the ball might reform but it is still bulbous from making a _________ form. What fills in the blank? Anyone?

Re: pic: Team 1631 teaser...what happened?
were you making fiberglass molds perhaps? we were considering doing something like that in the beginning.

Re: pic: Team 1631 teaser...what happened?
yeah, Im going to go ahead and guess vaccuum.
Either that or some freshman tried to use the ball as a table for soldering. lol -vivek |
Re: pic: Team 1631 teaser...what happened?
Good way to pop the ball, by using it without the cover.

Re: pic: Team 1631 teaser...what happened?
We fiberglassed the ball, just that section. It caused the ball to deform in a strange way. :ahh:

Re: pic: Team 1631 teaser...what happened?
it is preparing to hatch?
|
Re: pic: Team 1631 teaser...what happened?
Yes, our robot was completely constructed inside the ball and takes 3 weeks to hatch...which mean since we got it about 2 weeks ago we have 1 week left to wait.
