In the 80 inch rule, does the ball have to be included in that 80 inches as well, or not since it is the game piece?:confused: \

The ball does not count towards the 80" limit.

so then, if our robot itself can go past 80 inches, but we don't, are we disqualified?

The 80" rule is enforced on the field in the "Playing Configuration". This means that as long as your robot does not exceed a maximum 80" horizontal measurement while playing the game you will not receive a penalty. Also, unless you frequently violate this rule you wouldn't be disqualified you would only receive a 10 pt. penalty.

Why would they "e.g." instead of "i.e."?
"e.g." means "For example…"; "i.e." means "meaning…". Am I missing something here? |
