Window motors and Victors

Last year we had used a Victor to control a Keyang window motor. In the power distribution diagram it shows the window motors being connected to Spikes. We still had a 20 amp fuse powering the window motor but in Atlanta when we went for inspection we were held up and almost not allowed to compete because they had never seen that done before. Now, my question is: is it legal to have the window motor hooked up to a Victor as long as it's still being powered by a 20 amp fuse?

As I understand the rules, anything can be powered by a Victor if you want, but CIMs and FP are the only motors that MUST be powered by Victors

Your choice of Victor or Spike.

• Servos must be directly connected to the PWM ports on the Robot Controller. They must not be connected to speed controllers or relay modules.

• FTC motors must be directly connected to the Robot Controller. They must not be connected to speed controllers or relay modules.

• If used, the compressor must be connected to one Spike relay module.

• Each other electrical load (motors or actuators) must be connected to one Victor speed controller or one Spike relay module.

mark above me verified it....

anyways, we did it last year and it worked fine, and the judges/inspectors didnt care....they cared more about a bimba cylinder that was on the robot but wasnt hooked up due to design changes (it was easier to just keep it there, and we were 20lbs under weight.)
