Mounting a Chain to Frame

I spent forever looking for an answer, but maybe I'm just searching for the wrong things. Anyway, our team needs to mount the end of a chain to some 80/20. Does anyone know any hardware that would allow us to bolt the end of some chain on to some 80/20 securely? Thanks!

McMaster-Carr has some, they are called "Roller Chain Attachments"

Have you considered screwing a 1/16 or 1/4 piece of flat aluminum to the 80/20, drilling a hole through it, then using a master link or a half link and just putting the pin through the hole in the aluminum?

Thanks! It's a shame too because we just ordered a bunch of parts from them, and the guy that was supposed to figure all of that stuff out didn't think of it.

Are we talking about chain chain or roller chain? If its regular old chain, then a small u-bolt should do the job. If its roller chain, see the above post regarding mcmaster.

Last year we needed to do this. We just used a #10 bolt through one of the links into the standard T-nut that come with 80/20. The bolt doesn't fit quite, so you need to very carefully drill out the hole, very carefully cause this can be hard. This method worked great. The connection was more than strong enough to stall the motor and hasn't shown any signs of wearing out yet.
