FTW!!
My subie is a daily driver! Thats how club racing got started. People would bring there cars (and their families) and when they got there, they might swap tires if they could afford it, and they'd run the car (for better or for worse) and hopefully drive home in it the next day!

Re: To all gearheads

I have a 1959 Chevy Fleetside pickup (almost just like squirrel's!), but so far it's still slow. It has the 235 straight six (the torque is enough to make you shiver on a cold winter day!) and a Saginaw 4-speed (essentially a 3 speed with a "work" gear). I hape to get enough maney somewhere to put a big block in it, and if not that then a high performance 292.

I got my membership card right in my wallet. lol
I'm still trying to make my way up to the quicker karts.
Gotta work on my lap times & finding the best line this summer some more. So far ~40 seconds is my best lap.

I want to get to the 37 second mark at least by the end of this year. :D

Works for me. Name a time (after 5:30ish pm on a weekday, or any weekend after build, not counting a day during a regional, and I'll be there.

I only need shave ~1.8 seconds to get my qualifying time

GROUP DISCOUNT AT ON TRACK: (copied from their website)

"If you can round up ten or more friends or colleagues, we can give you discounted rates on racing! For groups that have ten or more people, running a minimum of two races, it will cost $15 per person per race ($30 total per person for two races). Best of all, you don't have to be a member to get the discount! Headsocks are not included in the price and must be purchased seperately. Also, one transaction to pay for the event is required. You must call ahead and reserve your time to get this discounted race deal...(203) 626-0464"

I forgot to mention in my post that my first car was a 1968 Firebird, which I still have. Hoping to bring it up to Michigan this summer and finally start restoring/modifying it.

I'm not too much into fast cars, but I own a Jeep Grand Cherokee and know my way around them pretty well. Between my friend and myself, plus our Jeeps, we can figure out pretty much anything and fix it ourself.

I have a red 96 Ford Contour Zetec ATX. Not a show or race car, but I'm using it as a test mule for an upcoming parts line that I am developing. PM me if you want details and prices. Here's the parts list so far...

FOR FORD CONTOUR
-Full cat-back for all Contour apps.
-First true CAI for the Contour Zetec
-Optimized* Zetec Contour intake
-Front strut tower bar for all Contour apps.
-Rear strut tower bar for all Contour apps.
-TIG-welded aluminum intake manifold**
-Heat shield for cone-filter intake on Duratec Contour.

FOR FORD FOCUS
-Front strut tower bar for 2000-2007
-Rear strut tower bar for 2000-2007 SEDAN
-Optimized* intake for Zetec

*Uses a basic kit to optimize the performance of the stock pieces. Comparable to "SleeperZ" intake

**ELIMINATES EXTERNAL PLENUM, available for stock or 60-65mm throttle body

None have been produced, as I am still in the very early developmental stages... Also check out www.contour.org and click on forums to the left. The thread is in the "Group Buy" section. I am open to extending the parts list if I can get some retrofitting time with your car. I am in southeast Connecticut.

The external plenum bit is about the 2.0 Liter Zetec motor's need for an external plenum on the intake manifold. My design will eliminate that need, and will flow air straight to the intake runners. All kits will include necessary hardware, brackets, and gaskets.

Shameless plug...// END:D
