[HELP]Bad Gear Tooth Sensor

Hey guys, we all pretty much know that one of our two gear tooth sensors is bad. Thanks to squirrel we know how to fix it.:D My question is, he says that for his team their GTS with J1 J2 is the bad one, but for mine its J3 J4. Does anyone have the same problem?

Re: [HELP]Bad Gear Tooth Sensor

I tested only one of our gear tooth sensors so far, and I couldn't honestly tell you which one it is, but it behaves just fine. This thread prompted me to put "test other GTS" on the todo list for tonight...

Re: [HELP]Bad Gear Tooth Sensor 2008 J5-J4

My 2008 red J1-J2 works. The other one labeled J5-J4 doesn't.

If anyone is now looking for a second sensor, this is my experience with 2007.
My 2007 green J1-J2 doesn't work but the J5-J4 does (different PCB version than 2008, cause unknown)

Prior to 2007
I tried a pre 2007 green pcb version but it didn't work.

Was there not a warning for some year prior to 2008 that there was a PCB labelling error on a GTS PCB ?

Just pointing out. . . It has been asked in the question and answer but you can't use the previous year Gear Tooth Sensors on the 2008 robot. They were specially made for FIRST for that year. It was posted and answered by the GDC in the Q & A Forums

I was wrong in the other thread, actually the J1 J2 board is good, the J4 J5 board is bad.
