That would be cool if we could, especially if we get into the finals with us both on the same alliance. Sort of like the Rochester United teams, but with robotics...

It also stinks that you had to be up against rush in both QFs. They are a really good team with a good robot.

Also say hi to Sidd for me...

A NAPKIN!?! That is true skill right there. He deserved the WFA when he won it in 2002.

They had battery problems in the final two matches. Even with that problem the alliance still had a great performance within those two matches.

We had radio problems the in semi's and in the second round of the finals. The cable got ripped out of the radio and IFI said they didn't have a spair during qualifing so we glued it back in and made a bracket to hold it in, but that wasn't 100%. After it happened twice in eleminations IFI found a new one for us.

Well that's a good thing that it held up, you guys did amazing. Especially your hybrid mode, it was the best thing I have ever seen. How did you program it?

We are using a encoders on the wheels (6 wheel drive) with an RC Helicopter heading hold gyro to do corrections. We then just go thought about a 30 step routine to make turns and straightaways. We use the remote to get to balls off.

I would also like to congratulate team 245 on the best website award. As a website designer I understand how complicated it is to write something like that and wish that I could. I am also amazed that it was all done by an 8th grader (not that age matters though), he must have tons of experience to be able to write something like that. You guys were also an amazing team who should made it higher than the QF's and we only wished here at Rochester that we could have versed you in the finals (any of them). Good luck next year (or at any events sooner)! :D

Just curious, how'd you know I was an 8th grader? When you first posted this, I was sure that my brother told you.

Last year after GLR, Karthik pointed out that 7 of the 8 alliances had a former world champion on them.

Code:

1. 66 - 217 - 910
2. 47- 494 - 1023
3. 27 - 469 - 1646
4. 1718 -70 - 451
5. 33 - 107 - 201
6. 65 - 68 - 245
7. 67 - 503 - 326
8. 291 - 573 - 862

World Champions are marked in Red, World Finalists in Blue and World Semi Finalists in Green. Only 5 of 8 alliances has a former world champion, but 2 had 2. Of 24 teams in the eliminations over half (14) had played on Einstein. The Finals saw 4 world champions on the floor at the same time.

Team 47 has never been a world champion. We have been a world finalist.

Hey I'm jw... is there any website or anyone that can post a link to get some vids from the GLR. I was looking around a lil bit lately and I can't find them.

Thanks.

Anyone else have video from GLR? So far all I have seen is the 245 stuff. I am trying to put together a highlight video of my team and looking for additional material.

I may have some videos from the quaters and semis with us in it, I just have to find the disk and upload the files. I should have it in the next day or so...

And the video of us beating 217 is in my signature under "A taste of the FEDS"

I have also had difficulty finding match videos from the great lakes regional. I am sure other teams would use them for highlight movies as well. Is there anyone out there with all of the match videos?

keep a spot for team 2337

I would like to see the regional with less teams so that teams can get more matchs

There are usually 60 teams in these regional and i don't like that

201.
Cool. That was one of the matches I was looking for. This was the second match that we had been in that a strong defense took down an offensive powerhouse. 1675 helped us against 1114 in Midwest. You guys did a great job driving that machine. Are your drivers Seniors?

Unfortunately the main driver and robo-coach are all seniors :(. They are great people and we will miss them next year. Our new challenge is finding new drivers

Greetings,

I'm a parent from #910. We were finalists @ GLR with our teammates #66 & #217 (hope I remember the correct #s!). There was a photographer who took MANY pictures, and those pics are on a FLICKR URL. However, it does not include most of the photos of the award winners. It does include the GLR Chairman's Award winner, so I thought this was the correct site. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hey Paul well you got half of this duo on Einstien again huh?
