FRC Robot Controller Broke

When we were test driving our robot, it was close to getting out of range so I tried to stop it but it caught my foot and tripped me. I was fine but the radio port of the FRC robot controller broke and popped up. It's still attached but doesn't work and I'm not sure if we can solder it back on. I'll post pictures of it once they reach my email from my phone. Any advice?

My advice: Contact Innovation First. They can arrange for you to get it fixed.

However, since it's pretty late in the build season, you may just be forced to run on tether until you get to an event (and thus the ability to check out a loaner RC for the competition).

That happened to us last year and we soldered it back on but the board was never the same and we where plagued with constant radio cutouts every time the robot moved.
we ended up borrowing a spare after a few hopeless matches.

I feel so stupid for breaking it as I'm the team safety officer.:(

Do you know if last year's FRC robot controller is any different than this year's? I was thinking maybe we could borrow one from a nearby team from last year's robot.

This is my schools first year but I think we may be able to borrow one from a nearby school.
