We have a very similar arm design.

Looks almost exactly like that actually. Thats eerie.

Actually, we designed our lift after our Tetra Robot's elevator mechanism from 2005. http://www.powercord869.com/pictures...0extension.jpg

Both use the same basic concept where you have a motor pulling a cable or rope through a pulley system to raise the lift.

But now that you mention it, there is a bit of a similarity.

Yeah, what the fudgesicles. I mean we are clearly a superior team and this team..."869"... just insults us by using something that looks similar to our design. WE DID NOT STEAL IT FROM THEM BACK IN 2005. They did not use a ladder system, and we did not try to use it, and then they didn't try to fall back on there old system that worked so effectively. They probably have mexicans build their robots in the back room.

This is most definitely not someone from our team. The post does not reflect the opinions of Team 25, Bristol-Myers Squibb or any of our affiliates.

If another team were influenced by our design, we at Team 25, Raider Robotix, would only take it as the sincerest form of flattery. We are always willing to explain and demonstrate our designs for those who are interested in learning more about our robots - simply stop by our pits and ask!

Team 869 has always been a great team and competitor within the New Jersey region. Their ramps last year were simply beautiful in deployment, and we thoroughly enjoy having them annually compete at Brunswick Eruption. I've also recently read an article about Team 869 in The Home News Tribune - they're hard at work, both building a very neat robot and successfully accomplishing Dean's homework. Keep up the great work!
