We have a very similar arm design.

Both use the same basic concept where you have a motor pulling a cable or rope through a pulley system to raise the lift. But now that you mention it, there is a bit of a similarity. |

If another team were influenced by our design, we at Team 25, Raider Robotix, would only take it as the sincerest form of flattery. We are always willing to explain and demonstrate our designs for those who are interested in learning more about our robots - simply stop by our pits and ask! Team 869 has always been a great team and competitor within the New Jersey region. Their ramps last year were simply beautiful in deployment, and we thoroughly enjoy having them annually compete at Brunswick Eruption. I've also recently read an article about Team 869 in The Home News Tribune - they're hard at work, both building a very neat robot and successfully accomplishing Dean's homework. Keep up the great work! |
