I'll second craigs vote of watch your center of gravity but you've probably already got this all figured out.

We've been worrying about tipping too. With the elevator fully extended we have calculated the CG to be right at the front set of CIM motors, which is about 12 inches back. Our velocity is somewhere around 11 ft/s. We just have to be careful not to come to a dead stop with the elevator fully extended.
