Ship Date Clarification
 

I was wondering about the ship date. The rule states, "ALL team robots/crates must leave the team's hands by February 19, 2008".

Does this mean it has to be shipped by February 18, 2008 at 11:59 pm or do we have until February 19, 2008 at 11:59 pm. Im thinking its the first one which causes Ontario teams a problem.

We have just been granted another stat holiday which falls on the 18th. I have not looked into this but if shipping companies are closed that day, does that mean we will have to ship the Friday before?

Has FIRST been notified about this/any exceptions been made?

I believe it is the second case. Robots must be in the hands of the shipping company by the end of the day Feb. 19th. Not sure whether they choose a specific time zone (EST?) or local time, but I doubt FedEx will pick your robot up that late anyway.

It's local time, IIRC. Also, I believe that the reason it's on Tuesday is because Monday is a holiday already...
