Team 558 Robot almost done!
Almost done. The robot moves and runs great. We tested the ball catcher and it works also. Pics and video.

Nice robot, looks like you can turn on a dime. Pretty amusing to see you guys handle the ball without the cradle, what are the chances it would fit.

Norm, I might have to do something drastic if you videotape me again!!! Like skip the wonderful dinner your wife is cooking for us tonight!!
Robot looks great, though. Thanks for posting video of it, since I missed the test drive.:yikes: |

Re: Team 558 Robot almost done!
R u going with the claw design or the a frame design?
|
Re: Team 558 Robot almost done!
It's kind of based on the Dung beetle. The Claw on the bottom corrals the ball on the floor and a jaw holds the ball in place. We can then hurdle over the bar and also knock the ball off. Speed at the moment is under 10'/sec. but we turn on a dime.
