phobias
 

i did some research on this last year for a project (which i never finished) and i was just wondering what other things people are afraid of.

i have a whole bunch of weird fears, like whales, icebergs, pictures of bacteria, aliens, and mutated people (like the ones they show in some movies).

so what are you afraid of?

Truthfully, mostly the only that comes to mind is spiders. Everything else that people may consider a "fear" is really just a hatred. For instance, I despise being in water. I also despise being in small places. I also despise being really high off the ground. Now, some of you may consider these phobias, they are actually just some of the many things that annoy me.

I used to be afraid of snakes in the wild, but after learning about their behavior and disposition, I've changed the fear to respect.

Jellyfish. I discovered that I am somewhat allergic one summer when I was strolling through along the shore at Bras d'Or Lake. I don't have respiratory problems or anything really serious, but a relatively mild jellyfish (ie not a box jelly or one of those huge ones) left welts on my thighs that didn't go away several months. Other than that, I don't really have any irrational fears... for some unknown reason, I was afraid of pool drains when I was like 5, but that fear is long gone.

I have a bizarre fear of listening to really loud music. I don't know why, but I get incredibly paranoid when I have my iPod up really high. :eek:

i have a fear of my brother because everytime i turn my back on him, he shoots my with his air-gun

I have a fear of being unable to find a computer with a Firewire port where I can upload my videos from my video camera (rumor has it that such a machine does not exist).

im afraid of the riaa... there evil and say that copying music from your cd collection to your computer is piracy. (they just want money)
