I can see it now... thanks! I don't know whether it was something changing on your end, or just using the Windows 2000 at school rather than Vista at home, but very impressive.

On a scale from one to high quality I'm going to give this robot a pretty flippin high quality.

Thanks Dan,

Is there a remote chance you guys could come down to our little scrimmage this weekend (Saturday)? I know you guys usually do your own up there.

Also, who is planning on coming? I know 1251 and 1345 are not planning to. 180 might and usually MARS is dependable, but can't confirm yet.
1029?
710?
744?
1889?
108?
168?
59?

who else?

MARS definately will be there. Swamp's robot looks mega-awesome! Wish we were as far along; we're still tweaking a lot of things & drove it for the 1st time yesterday.

Yeah, I actually can't speak for the team, I don't really organize that kind of stuff anymore but I believe we are supposed to be heading to the Robot Ruckus or something like that. It will be good for us to stay close to home, still got a fair amount to work to do, and the programmers are now trying to transfer our hybrid mode to the new bot.

I can't wait to see video's tho, most of those teams are usually major players at UCF and quite often in Atlanta as well. Your scrimmage seems to set the tone for what to expect at Florida.

I wish we could go, but we are still behind schedule and one more Saturday of building is needed.

Great robot, very simple and effective. It will definitely be a strong robot in the season. Very good use of pneumatics.

See you guys in UCF

Very simple and effective, picks up the trackball ridiculously easily. The arm seems very efficient and robust. Looks like a quick and reliable robot from 179, as always. Thanks for posting the video.

I don't think anybody made one from the scrim, but here's one from the last few days :)

Man that thing is a beauty, It looks like you've got some sort of feedback finding the ball, you have Ir or Sonar or something to detect the ball? And it looks like your drivers are getting really good, that is really a smooth intake system and good method of hurdling.

I'm hoping we can get some vids of ours soon, the programmers have been working hard on something special for this year.

Great idea & works pretty well. ((Love the green))

I'd like to hear how you do.

Well it's a combination of tooth sensors, gyro and I/R. It knows it's starting position, then it's told by the robocoach what position the ball is in after it gets going. Our field is short so it keeps hitting the wall after the turn, but on a full size field it should make the turn, and maybe go for another 4pts after that.
