Galactus looks very cool and should be interesting to see in action... but I have to ask, why use that name if it's not going to be purple?

After a lot of discussion on other names, we arrived at the name "Atlas" because of the big ball. However, we were sure that many others may be thinking the same thing. So, then we searched lots of mythological names to no avail. Finally, one of our seniors started thinking about Marvel characters. Galactus popped into his head and we looked it up and found... "Devourer of Worlds" (grabbing the big ball) "sole survivor of the Big Crunch of the universe" (we liked the symbol of strength) called the "third force of the universe." (this is our third year/third FRC robot) So in a symbolic sense, the name fit really well, but our team colors don't change. |
