Radio Problems
 

Ok so we're having trouble programming the '08 robot. Our programmer blamed it on the electrical, so we took the I/O off the '07 bot and hooked it up on the '08 bot with the same code and used the same pwm ports, we didn't change anything. Then we hooked up the tether and everything worked as expected. The motors ran fine. So we know the problems we're having with the '08 controller is a programming error.

We then tried to hook up the radio to the '07 controller on the '08. Nothing happened. We're getting a no data/radio. What could be going wrong?

Did you tether after you changed the team number in the 2008 controller so it sets it in the robot controller?

We haven't used the 2008 controller yet, we're still working on getting the 2007 controller working on the 2008 robot. The radio doesn't seem to be working.

try to tether the robot then try to reestablish a radio link after you have tethered it.

I apologize if this sounds stupid but....

Make sure that you have the correct modem connected to the OI and the correct modem connected to the RC...

They both look very much alike and will have the symptoms that you mention if they are swapped... I made this mistake once...
